Expert Analysis
Matt DeBary | Prep Redzone Scout
A promising pass-rusher form Forsyth County who shows easy Power Four potential, Davis is a physically-gifted defender with impressive length, burst, and ability to blow up plays in the backfield. Just a freshman, Davis held his own against older, quality players throughout the 2025 season. His talent and potential is easy to see and a big reason why he saw a significant boost in the latest 2029 Prep Redzone rankings. He has the potential to be one of the best pass-rushers in the area and his recruitment will likely pick up in a big way down the road.

are intriguing. The size and frame speak for themselves, but an 11.58 in the 100M at his size is eye-opening. Davis plays both ways and flashes on both sides of the ball. As a defender, he is quick out of his stance, instantly shooting gaps and penetrating. He often arrives at the football before the play can even develop, leaving the ball carrier no chance of escaping. As a TE, when he can roll in space, it just adds more context to the caliber of athlete he is. You can’t argue against the traits here. There are strong P4 indicators here, so I’ll call that shot before the buzz fully gets going.

A fast-rising EDGE defender in Forsyth County to know about. Davis is one of the top young prospects in a very talented region. Davis brings outstanding size for his age, shows natural strength, and the ability to create chaos in the backfield. He fires off the snap and knows how to chase down the ball-carrier behind the line of scrimmage. He plays hard, shows quick hands, and has the physical tools to allow him to earn D1 interest and possible offers down the road. Look for Davis to be a major contributor for the Wolverines defense next year as a sophomore. He’ll see a new ranking come his way in the spring rankings update.
