Week 2 Preview: Timpview at Am Fork, Ridgeline at Park City

Let's continue our look at Week 2.   Timpview at American Fork: This will be a fun matchup between two good teams.   Timpview:   They opened the season against a tough West High team and now face a tough 6A opponent in American Fork. For Timpview to come out on top, they'll need these key players to come through.    Tua'one spent time at QB and WR last week and he showcased his traits of great burst and lateral quickness. He escaped the pass rush several times and evaded sacks on multiple occasions. He has great quickness and he showcased his overall athleticism and vision. He made nice off-platform throws and extended plays. It'll be interesting to see his usage this week.     Wilkerson was a two-way player last week and he had two interceptions and made a nice catch on offense. He'll be an important part on offense if Dennis takes over as the quarterback full time this year. As a defensive back, he has good range, moves well and is a player that showcases good ball skills.     Tela caught they eye last week with his overall frame and movement pattern. He has good size and has a good wingspan. He might be key when it comes to the length that American Fork has at the skilled position.     Tuha will be important as a runner against American Fork, to help keep the defense honest and from having a light box and a spy. His ability to move the chains, eat up clock, and breaking tackles will be an important piece for Timpview if they want to come away with a win.    American Fork is coming off a good victory over Pleasant Grove last week and will look to ride the two quarterback system.    Manuela is a dual threat quarterback and he showed good ball placement last week with some of his throws. His improv and ability to extend plays will help as his receivers will have additional time to get open and work back to him if the play breaks down. His ability as a rusher will keep the Timpview defense from being too aggressive.     Childs has a good frame and he's able to see over the line well. He saw time last week and once he got into the rhythm of the game, showed his effectiveness as a pocket passer. He'll look to stress the Timpview defense with some deep shots.     Cash was the focal point last week and is an excellent receiver who is light on his feet, has great ability to create separation and is strong at the catch point. He'll look to be the top target earner this week against an aggressive Timpview secondary.     Dyson adds an extra element to the offense with his length and being detached from the line. His large catch radius will bail out his signal callers and allow them to have a safety blanket.    Ridgeline at Park City   Ridgeline is coming off a hard fought game and now continues on the road and head to Park City. Here are some key players to know.    Dahle will look to continue to build on his successful season open by continuing to stress defenses as he dots the entire field. He is a quick processor and that'll come in handy as Park City has some good edge rushers. Dahle has good ball placement and will look to dice up the Park City secondary.     Krew is an elite prospect and an exceptional two-way player. He'll look to get to the quarterback and be in the Park City backfield all night long. Krew is explosive off the line, has great lateral quickness and is an edge rusher that needs to be chipped or doubled. He'll allow his teammates on the other side of the defensive line to work one on one.     Livingston is a playmaker and will need to have shaded coverage his way. He is a fluid route runner, has good speed, and does well in open space where he can make defenders miss. He'll be the primary receiving target and a player that should get peppered with looks early and often.     Perkins is an exceptional backer and showcases good speed and physicality. He's instinctual and plays with good anticipation. He sheds his blocks well and is effective as an on-ball backer where he can create havoc and attack, and he also shows that he is comfortable in space and covering his zone spacing.     Warner has good speed and is a running back that has good patience behind the line. He has good quickness and he moves well laterally. He is a runner that makes defenders miss in open space and has the speed to house it everytime.     Cunningham is a two-way player who will be needed on both sides of the ball. On offense, he is a power runner with good contact balance and shows enough juice to make defenders miss in space and has the power to lower his pads and run them over. Defensively, he'll be needed as a backer. He can press the line and add to the pass rush, or he can operate in space and cover the more physical, passing options for Ridgeline. His effectiveness on both sides of the ball will be crucial for Park City.
