Landon is a well-rounded backer who can be used at any of the positions. He does well attacking and can be a good on-ball backer that is asked to do the dirty work. He is comfortable in space and in coverage. He shows good footwork and doesn’t get lost in space. He has good quickness, and he has a quick burst; he can be a backer that can be asked to be a pass rusher if needed as well. Fun player and is a D1 prospect.

Landon has good frame and has the room to gain an additional 10-15 lbs. He is quick and does well attacking. He can shed his blocks and shows good pursuit. When he plants his legs and attacks the ball carrier, he does well weaving his way through traffic and not getting bogged down. He moves well side to side and is a high-end backer.

Perkins has the speed to add pressure on the pass game and to blow up the run game for Brighton. He shows good ability to shed his blocks and pursue the ball carrier. His skillset will be important on Friday night.

He sheds his blocks well and is effective as an on-ball backer where he can create havoc and attack, and he also shows that he is comfortable in space and covering his zone spacing.

He showcases good lateral quickness and has exceptional closing speed and that quick burst allows him to be impactful with every opportunity. Perkins shows great instincts, reactionary skills and active hands. He is a heat-seeking missile who does an excellent job of getting through the line. Perkins has exceptional direct speed and when he plants his back foot and goes, he gets to the ball carrier quickly and makes plays on the ball. He’s an exciting backer for the 2026 class and should get recruited regionally.

Perkins is an athletic prospect that plays the MIKE linebacker position in the Riverhawk’s defense. Shows agility, body control, hips and coordination to play the position. Plays with initial quickness to read and react. Ability to move through traffic to find ball carriers in the run game. Lateral quickness to move across the LOS. Shows burst as a blitz rusher. A sure tackler with explosion that can stop ball carriers at the LOS and the open field. Has the size and athleticism to play the MIKE linebacker position in a 4-3 or 3-4 defensive type scheme.
