Cooper is an exceptional athlete and can be a backer or have his hands in the ground and be an EDGE rusher. He has good quickness and moves well laterally. He shows good instincts and has good hip fluidity for side-to-side movement. He is decisive when he plants his back leg and is an excellent tackler. He is best as an on-ball attacking backer. He should garner late offers and will play on Saturdays. He’s a D1 talent.
Clark is an exceptional on ball backer and can be used as an edge rusher and can cover athletic tight ends. He’ll even come in on offense and contribute that way. I like him best as an on-ball backer where he can use his speed, play strength, and quick hands to be an effective, forward pressing backer who can disrupt and create chaos. He has been exceptional since day one and is a player who will do the same this season. A big year is ahead for him.
Clark had a great afternoon. He ran a good 40-time, and during individual drill,s he routinely stood out as an athletic mover who is fluid with his movement pattern and has quick instincts and someone who was light on his feet and responded to coaching. He was one of the best players in the positional group.
Clark is best described as an athletic chess piece. He has a good frame and will continue to grow into it and should get to 210 lbs without limiting his athletic abilities. Clark can play either safety position, all the linebacker positions, be an edge rusher, and even be a receiver to get the ball into his hands where he can make a play. He has an excellent first-step explosiveness and closing speed. Clark has excellent vision, covers a lot of ground, has good coverage skills, and will make a play on the ball. As a rusher, he showcases good physicality and good bend at the hip. He uses his speed to get the offensive lineman out of position and utilizes his bend to get around the corner and closing speed to get to the ball carrier. Clark is best as a hybrid LEO or STAR where he can be free-range pre-snap and make a play on the ball. He is a player that will get regionally recruited and should garner power-four interest.
