2027 WR Stock-Risers

We're churning through 2027 rankings content after updating them on Monday. While this particular rankings update was <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/08/august-rankings-update-behind-the-scenes-of-the-2027-class/">more focused on additions than movement</a>, there were still several players who rose in the rankings.   Here, I'm looking at six receivers who moved up in the rankings. Let's take a look at our 2027 WR stock-risers   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">2027 WR Stock-Risers</h2>    One of our biggest leaps in the rankings, regardless of position, we moved Mensah in our internal system months ago, right after the May rankings update and we really would have preferred to get him into this range back then instead of waiting for August. That being said, he's a fantastic outside receiver. He was the lone bright spot on a struggling offense and operated well down the field on 50-50 balls. If Berry can get him the ball more in 2025, the offense should take a step forward.     I'm staking my claim on Ross, who is a true Power Four prospect, even though his interests have come largely from the FCS and Group of Five ranks so far. You'd be hard-pressed to find a player with more body control and better ball skills than Ross, who is one of the best in the state at going up and getting the ball. He should have plenty of opportunities down the field this season.     Jenkins was one of the top targets for Pine Lake Prep last season and moves over to Southlake Christian where he's easily one of the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/07/ncisaa-wrs-to-know/">top NCISAA WRs</a> in the state. I'm interested to see how he's used at Southlake Christian in a crowded receiver room, but he moves well and can probably run a more complete route tree than he's shown on film so far.     Collins' size might deter some colleges, but it shouldn't. He's lightning in a bottle, and should have increased opportunities as a junior as the top target this season. He operated mostly underneath last year, but broke off a few long receptions. We expect him to have a bigger season this year for a Shelby team that looks to take control of the 3A class and included him in the <a href="https://prepredzone.com/2025/08/prep-redzone-3a-preseason-all-state-team/">preseason all-state team</a> for that class.     While there isn't a mass graduation exodus from the receiver room like there has been the past few years, the Chargers do lose a couple guys, meaning Fletcher is the next young guy to step up as a primary target. He's a strong route-runner and excels after the catch. It's a true pipeline there, so expect Fletcher to be the next great FBS receiver out of Providence Day.
