[player_tooltip player_id='1000923' first='Dorsett' last='Stecker'] may get 10 targets a game this year and the coaching staff will find creative ways to get him the ball. The offensive line has three returning starters including [player_tooltip player_id='1797788' first='Judah' last='Snow'] but who will carry the ball is a mystery. Corona del Mar's defense has solid athletes in the secondary that can fly around like [player_tooltip player_id='1797946' first='Tucker' last='Murray'] and [player_tooltip player_id='283596' first='Cash' last='Pearsall']. The Sea Kings finished fifth in the league last season but every league game was competitive. If Corona del Mar can flip one or two of those games, a playoff spot is likely.

Are you ready for some football? pic.twitter.com/UHxb3cbkHA
— CDM Football (@CDMFOOTBALL) August 11, 2025

NEWPORT HARBOR

Top players: [player_tooltip player_id='1576842' first='Glenn' last='Baranoski'], LB, Sr.; Jagger Denoon, OL/DL, Sr.; [player_tooltip player_id='1742014' first='Jake' last='Meer'], QB, Sr.; Christopher Foster, OL/DL, Sr.; Emiliano Torres, OL/DL, Sr.

Outlook: Newport Harbor struggled a bit last season with a first-year head coach but a full offseason with the coaching staff and some key returning players are causes of optimism for the Sailors. [player_tooltip player_id='1742014' first='Jake' last='Meer'] is back at quarterback and people in the program are very high on him. Jackson Stremick may get a lot of touches out of the backfield behind a solid offensive line. [player_tooltip player_id='1576842' first='Glenn' last='Baranoski'] was very impressive at the You Are Athlete camp early this offseason and he was one of the better pass coverage linebackers I saw this offseason. The defense did not force many turnovers last season so that is an area the Sailors will need to improve upon. The nonleague schedule is a little easier this year and the Sailors could compete for a playoff spot.

Thank you for the write up @mikehuntley63 ! [player_tooltip player_id='283687' first='Timmy' last='Herr'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1296204' first='Elijah' last='Ayala'] do a good job running the zone/read game and [player_tooltip player_id='1639259' first='Luke' last='Frith'] is a real deep threat at receiver. UCLA commit [player_tooltip player_id='1149003' first='Cooper' last='Javorsky'] was one of the biggest stars off the offseason winning MVPs at multiple camps. The Stallions lost some firepower in the front seven but [player_tooltip player_id='1698929' first='Maxwell' last='Porter'] can get after the quarterback and the secondary is excellent. San Juan Hills has some tough teams to play in its nonleague slate but is the favorite to win this league and could be a Division 2 playoff team.

🚨11 DAYS🚨

Heavyweight Battle in the Badlands🥊
It's about that time⏳@sjhhsfootball #16
🆚@chaparralpumafb #19#NoBetterPlace🐎#BuiltAtTheBadlands🏟️ pic.twitter.com/I46lh79Djb
— SJH Football (@sjhhsfootball) August 12, 2025

TESORO

Top players: [player_tooltip player_id='1149072' first='Wyatt' last='Owens'], LB, Sr.; Gleb Pozdinakov, DL, Sr.; [player_tooltip player_id='1690068' first='Nic' last='Brubaker'], RB, Sr.; Zach Claton. DB, Sr.; Braiden Vaca, WR, Sr.

Outlook: Tesoro can hang with most teams in this league when fully healthy but depth was an issue last year and could be again this year. The Titans have struggled on the lower levels for two consecutive years and that takes a toll on a program. [player_tooltip player_id='1690068' first='Nic' last='Brubaker'] is back at running back after being the team's leading rusher last year. Vaughn Steinert is likely going to be the starting quarterback and he struggled a bit last year but was kind of thrown into the fire. Braiden Vaca may be a county leader in receptions this year and the offensive line has some key players back. [player_tooltip player_id='1149072' first='Wyatt' last='Owens'] leads the defense from the middle linebacker spot but the Titans have a new defensive coordinator and may put him outside to rush the passer more.
