Recent Offer: USC (PWO)
Notes: One of the more under-recruited prospects across the state, the Newport Harbor product is a true inside banger and tackling machine that has been flying under the radar and a no-brainer FCS+ caliber talent.

Baranoski had 83 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery for Newport Harbor last season.
He’s a violent tackler and has a good punch on offensive linemen at the second level to shake blocks. Baranoski closes to the ball quickly and seems comfortable tackling in the open field. He is a high IQ linebacker who reads and reacts very quickly and is one of the better pass coverage linebackers on this list. Baranoski has offers from Northern Arizona and San Diego and has a PWO offer from USC.

Baranoski is one of the more under rated linebackers across southern California and is coming off a tremendous junior season for Newport Harbor. He is extremely violent at the point of attack while doing a good job weaving through traffic to get into the backfield and plays with good pad level, punch when getting off blocks and shows closing speed in the open field. Also able to cover in the flats or downfield, he is a very fluid athlete, and can play either inside or outside linebacker due to his balanced play style against the run or in space against the pass. A very high IQ prospect that processes quickly and has a violent play-style, he is another prospect looking to be a steal at the next level and has been severely under-recruited to this point.

The Newport Harbor prospect is one of the more under recruited linebackers across the region and is a no-brainer next level caliber player. He has the ideal size, closing speed and range for the position and offers great versatility at either inside linebacker or outside linebacker. He flashes quick play diagnoses, triggers fast to the ball with closing speed and brings a good dump at the point of attack. He shows he can move through or around blockers and has good bend, change of direction and twitch when both rushing the passer, applying pressure off the edge or in open space. He is a high motor player that is a sure tackler in the open field and takes the proper angles and has a very diverse skill set from the second level.

Baranoski was second on Newport Harbor in tackles with 83 with a sack and a fumble recovery.
He had a good showing at the You Are Athlete camp in December. Baranoski was the only linebacker to blanket the top running back at the camp on a route during 7-on-7 and was in the hip pocket of linebackers throughout the day.

Baranoski had a good year at Newport Harbor this season and really impressed me in pass coverage during 7-on-7. He was the only linebacker to blanket the top running back at the camp on a route during 7-on-7.
