2027 Watchlist to Ranked: Southern California Offensive Prospects

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">New talent continues to emerge out of the 2027 class. Here's a look at five southern California offensive prospects that moved up from the watchlist and into the PRZ state rankings. </h2>    At 6'3” 205 lbs. Pooley is a poised pocket passer with a strong physical profile and high level arm talent. Possesses a live arm, generating effortless velocity to drive the ball into tight windows and push it downfield with confidence. Throws a great deep ball with excellent touch, layering throws over second level defenders and placing the ball where only his receiver can make a play. While he operates primarily from the pocket, he has the mobility to slide, reset, and extend plays when the pocket collapses. He moves efficiently under pressure, keeping his eyes downfield and maintaining a calm, balanced base to deliver an accurate ball. His mechanics are clean and he shows consistent footwork that supports his accuracy and quick release. Gained valuable experience as a sophomore that should translate to more production over the next two years. Holds four D1 offers to date from some high level programs.   4 Offers: Auburn, Arkansas, San Diego State, Sacramento State      Tillis brings an impressive skillset to the WR position. 5'11” 185 lbs. he combines his physicality and strong hands with sharp route execution and playmaking ability after the catch. He consistently creates separation by selling his routes with creative stems and moves. Snaps off his routes with suddenness and control showing the ability to break defenders at the top of the route and win one on one matchups. Catches the ball cleanly and confidently using strong and quick hands to secure tough grabs with defenders closing in. After the catch, he's aggressive and elusive capable of making defenders miss in space or powering through arm tackles to extend gains. Has performed extremely well at off season camps and showcases. Carries three D1 offers going into his junior year but expect to see his offer count on the rise this season.   3 Offers: San Diego State, Delaware State, Hawaii      Markofski is a rare blend of size and athleticism at 6'4” 215 lbs. bringing the frame of a TE with the movement skills and speed of a true WR, clocked a verified 11.03 100m, 22.31 200m, and 50.84 400m. A matchup nightmare for defenses creating separation against LB's in coverage with speed while posing a physical mismatch against smaller DB's. He runs with fluidity and acceleration. Long strides eat close defenders cushion quickly making him a dangerous vertical threat and a reliable target at the short/intermediate levels. Competes for every ball with strong hands and plus body control flashing the ability to track and adjust smoothly to off target throws. Offered by Minnesota and New Mexico this past spring, he's an intriguing prospect that will rise up rankings and recruiting boards as he progresses and showcases his skillset.   2 Offers: Minnesota, New Mexico     Leggett is a quick, explosive RB with the burst and twitch to be a consistent player maker in the nation's top ranked program. He presses the LOS quickly to apply immediate pressure to the defense showing excellent vision and the ability to make sudden cuts without losing momentum. His short area quickness and rapid acceleration allow him to slip through tight creases and breakaway from defenders at the second level. Runs hard for 5'10” 175 lbs. with a low center of gravity, making him difficult to square up, and he's dangerous in space with the lateral agility to shake defenders and the burst to finish runs. His suddenness and ability to hit top speed within a few stride make him a threat to break off chunk plays anytime he touches the ball. High ceiling prospect that holds three D1 offers with more incoming as he gains more experience.   3 Offers: Boston College, Washington, Sacramento State      At 6'4” 220 lbs. Adams is an athletic, well-rounded TE who combines size, athleticism, and physicality to create mismatches in the passing game. Good natural movement skills and mobility, showing smooth acceleration in his routes and the ability to stay balanced through contact. He's not easily rerouted fighting through jams and maintain timing to get open against both man and zone coverage. Plays big at the catch point using his length and strong frame to shield defenders and high point the football. He thrives in contested situations flashing strong hands and the toughness to secure catches in traffic. Whether stretching the seam, working underneath, or to the boundary he is a dependable target who consistently wins with positioning, feel, and body control. No offers yet but expect that to change soon with all the tools he possesses. Ranked the #6 TE in the 2027 class.
