PRZ Stock Up Showcase Preview: Players to Watch (Part 1)

Leggett ran for 238 yards on 47 carries with five touchdowns for Mater Dei last season and has since transferred to Centennial.
He also had offers from Boston College, Washington, Sacramento State and UNLV. Leggett is one of three players from California in NAU’s 2027 recruiting class and the first running back.
Leggett was likely a close second for MVP and was one of the top performers of the day. He had the quickest feet during a lot of the agility drills and won nearly every one-on-one rep I saw him take. Centennial’s run game is going to be dangerous with Leggett and Davis leading the backfield.
Leggett is a quick, explosive RB with the burst and twitch to be a consistent player maker in the nation’s top ranked program. He presses the LOS quickly to apply immediate pressure to the defense showing excellent vision and the ability to make sudden cuts without losing momentum. His short area quickness and rapid acceleration allow him to slip through tight creases and breakaway from defenders at the second level. Runs hard for 5’10” 175 lbs. with a low center of gravity, making him difficult to square up, and he’s dangerous in space with the lateral agility to shake defenders and the burst to finish runs. His suddenness and ability to hit top speed within a few stride make him a threat to break off chunk plays anytime he touches the ball. High ceiling prospect that holds three D1 offers with more incoming as he gains more experience.
3 Offers: Boston College, Washington, Sacramento State
Leggett was the number two running back for National Champion Mater Dei this season as a sophomore.
He is shifty at the line of scrimmage and is very quick through the first two levels. Leggett breaks tackles very well for a guy his size.
Mater Dei doesn’t use him a ton in the passing game but he has played receiver in the past. It will be interesting to see him run some routes against linebackers.
