Expert Analysis
Jordan Reyes | Prep Redzone Scout
At 6’4” 220 lbs. Adams is an athletic, well-rounded TE who combines size, athleticism, and physicality to create mismatches in the passing game. Good natural movement skills and mobility, showing smooth acceleration in his routes and the ability to stay balanced through contact. He’s not easily rerouted fighting through jams and maintain timing to get open against both man and zone coverage. Plays big at the catch point using his length and strong frame to shield defenders and high point the football. He thrives in contested situations flashing strong hands and the toughness to secure catches in traffic. Whether stretching the seam, working underneath, or to the boundary he is a dependable target who consistently wins with positioning, feel, and body control. No offers yet but expect that to change soon with all the tools he possesses. Ranked the #6 TE in the 2027 class.

Adams is another terrific athlete for his size and will only continue to grow and develop over the next two seasons for Temecula Valley. He shows he can run a diverse route tree, get open against both safeties and linebackers and is physical in space with the ball in his hands after the catch. Although a very reliable and efficient receiving threat, he also shows he is a willing blocker and will be 235+ pounds by this time next year and should draw plenty of FCS+ offers through this next off-season.

Adams is another under the radar tight end prospect in the 2027 class, but should see his stock rise going into and through his Junior season. He is a natural pass catcher with the ideal size and length for the position, and can stretch the field while a natural pass catcher with strong hands when making contested catches. Adams shows he can run a diverse route tree, knows when to settle in zone coverage before knifing up-field and is tough to bring down in the open field once he gets going, showing plus contact balance and body control at contact. He is another prospect that should see his stock rise through his Junior season.

Adams checks into our rankings as a WL candidate in this update, and has the ideal frame and length that offers growth potential for the next level. He has a strong build already and long arms, with plenty of room to develop both physically and technically. From his tight end position, he can stretch the field with good second level speed, has a big catch radius and shows he can make contested catches and box out smaller defenders downfield. He is still developing as a route runner, but is a big bodied target that has some wiggle in the open field after the catch. Only heading into his Junior season, he should be able to continue packing weight to his frame and find his home at tight end in college.
