Another camp down, more to go as we make the trip up I-29 to pay at visit to the FCS National Champions (and plenty more) from the 2024 season, the North Dakota State Bison! This was year four for PRZ being in attendance in Fargo as I would tell any kid from the Midwest our even around the country if you want to get developed for three days of nothing but football, this is the perfect camp to enrich your skills regardless of grade. It's one of the last multi-day camps in the country, and the amount of talent at all levels I feel gets better every year. We'll get the ball rolling with the couple batches of prospects at skill positionss on both sides of the ball that caught my attention. As we ha

The first quarterback that caught my eyes in Fargo, was another new name (why I love camp season) to our Minnesota 2027 radar which was Jacob Dulitz from Alden-Conger out of far southern Minnesota. What did Jacob showed off with his arm? He showed off eye-catching arm angles consistently when throwing on intermediate routes as a prospect that I know plays on both sides of the ball, and has an intriguing football IQ on both sides of the ball. The 6'1 200 pounder is a 2027 two -way prospect I will have to further keep my eyes on this fall as I surely liked the brief look I got off his DE tape and my live eval in Fargo is one that I felt showed off the upside that is there for the taking for Jacob.

One of the only 2029 prospects that got on my radar at the NDSU prospect camp in session two, is one I am fired up about in this class which is Ray-Powers Lake athlete Ty Barman. I don't think in all the years I have gone up to NDSU, that a freshmen has ever caught my radar as Ty might be the first. I watched his reps as a wide receiver and it was evident the the athleticism and upside is there for the taking for this young man as he showed off as a solid ball-tracker for his age on deeper routes and once the ball got into his hands, Ty showed off as a wide receiver that is extremely sudden for his age. At 6'1 185 pounds, he ran a sub 4.9 40-yard dash, mid 4.5s in the pro agility all as a 2029 prospect that hasn't reached high school yet. To say I am fired up about Ty in this 2029 North Dakota class is an understatemen as even though that classes rankings haven't been posted, he's a surefire name I will be looking at as our #1 overall prospect in that class.

A new 2026 name that got onto my radar up in Fargo, was Savion Stephens of Elkton-Lake Benton (SD). The 6'1 180 pound wide receiver, is one prospect that I felt possessed an under the radar high football IQ based on watching his first rep and his last reps as I was making my circles around the fields at NDSU. He showed off during individual drills that his angles could keep getting tighter during the circle drills. Another area of intriguing skillsets I gathered from Savion was with his his hands, as I felt based off the eye test the last few receptions I watched were should be more eye-appealing to college coaches as a next-level prospect that I think that should get some attention at the NAIA level. He could be a senior bloomer in this 2026 SD class too, as he'll need a promising senior tape and a Twitter account to get more eyes on him.

The floodgates have opened up wide in the last handful of months for our TE1 in the 2027 North Dakota class in [player_tooltip player_id='1292632' first='Drew' last='Kessel'] out of Fargo South. Minnesota and NDSU opened up the door early with offers, and we got our live eval out of Drew at the last NDSU prospect camp. The 6'7 205 pounder, utilized his length and wingspan to his full advantage in the reps we watched. On one particular rep I watched, Drew used that long reach to make a reception on a ball that most tight ends had no business catching, yet Drew made the high traffic area catch with an off-line throw look like clockwork. He continued that trend with a couple more reps I watched, looking almost robotic with his hands and making low percentage receptions look easier than they should be consistently. The gates are wide open for more P4/FCS offers coming Drew's way.

A new name out of Wisconsin that caught my attention quickly at the second NDSU prospect camp, was 2027 linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1733711' first='Guardian' last='Harris'] out of Fond Du Lac. The 6'4 220 pound moved with authority for his size, as the sudden lateral movement downhill to the ball was evident when watching Guardian's reps, as he also was intuitive with his attention to detail when he attacked the hip strongly during individual reps. He surely was a linebacker that you could feel his persistent motor when you watched him on every rep and I would say that lies pretty consistent with what you see on tape from this junior to be. I also feel there is some position flexibility at the next-level to move to DE/EDGE for Guardian, but I surely feel Guardian could be an early offer target out of this 2027 class in Wisconsin.

The first defensive back that caught my attention on Saturday morning in Fargo, was Skutt Catholic 2026 Brenden Ruth. He showed off some of the most well-versed footwork in the DB group I got to watch as he also possessed the instinctive ball skills with his tracking ability on a handful of reps I got to watch. This young man also on every rep I watched showed off the fluidity which its easy to see why college programs in the state of Nebraska have been pressing the gas with offers with Brendan at the NAIA level, as he's kind of a late bloomer that missed a portion of his junior season, but has rose his stock IMO during camp season.
