Daven has been on my radar for a couple years. He is a two-way player on offensive line and defensive line and can make a living at either side of the ball at the next level. He is a high end competitor with strength and physical toughness that can’t be matched. He is an elite run blocking mauler with raw strength and power, and he moves well for his size. Very good pass protector who shows he can anchor versus top-end recruits. On defense, he is a plug in the interior defensive line, with very good block shed and closing on the ball carrier. He is an elite prospect with 12 Division 1 offers.

Daven Reed Daven Reed 6'4" | 315 lbs | OL/DL Roanoke Catholic | 2028 State VA is an exceptional athlete, if you ever come against this kid good luck! Daven has an extremely powerful base and has a quick first step and when he put them paws on you trust and believe you will not be able to breakaway. On offense he creates massive gaps for his running backs to get through and has great pass blocking skills, and it also correlates to him on defense on the front line. Justin has great block shedding skills and closes up gaps quick and will make his presence felt. Keep your eyes on this kid standing at 6’4 315 he is a bulldozer and will ruin the opposition gameplan.

South Florida, Duke, Liberty, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Louisville, and South Carolina have all offered Reed. He is a powerful, physically dominant offensive guard who excels as a run blocker. I like his ability to control the line of scrimmage and finish plays. Reed, who lines up at offensive guard, combines size, lower-body strength, and surprising mobility to create running lanes at all levels of the defense. It’s worth noting that he also plays defensive line where he plays with power. Reed’s anchoring ability make him a space-clogger in the middle. He consitently wins his individual battles with raw strength. It’s no surprise that he finishes his blocks with authority, in effect, pancakes. Reed’s highlights show that he’s very effective when down-blocking or sealing the interior. HIs ability to finish blocks, move defenders, and pull in space are the things that have set him apart from other offensive linemen in his class.
