It feels like every day Demarcus Brown Demarcus Brown 6'4" | 180 lbs | WR/ATH Roanoke Catholic | 2027 State VA has a new offer, with the latest (but possibly no) being from the University of Oklahoma. Brown is our 5th ranked receiver and 31st overall, he is soaring up major colleges wish lists.

A ranking crush of mine, a player I wouldn’t mind traveling multiple hours to see. Standing at 6’3, 180 pounds, Brown posted an impressive 4.66 40 time (HT). Not a bad time for a kid his size. Ranked as one of the best two-way players among all 2027s in Virginia, Brown showed up and was equally consistent as Ferrell and Smoot. Brown carries the prototypical build FBS schools covet, a tall build that can be developed in terms of muscle. Brown has plenty of room to fill beneath his pads, I can say that comfortably after seeing him in person. Offers out of Liberty, Howard, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech, I can envision the same thing these programs are. A 6’3/6’4 WR/DB who could contribute early-on at the FBS level. Brown showed off explosion and long-speed, all while tracking the football better than most present. Happy to see him perform well in this one.

Brown is well represented with his current ranking. He has swift feet off the line and can separate well as he strides down the field. His frame is well-built, and he’s a great athlete. He’ll be one of the best-ranked talents we have coming into Sunday, and I want to see him in person be that top guy.

Demarcus is a weapon on the football field playing WR, RB, and DB. I am including him in the WR article as that is where I view his future at the collegiate level. Securing offers from Howard, Syracuse, and Liberty, Demarcus is making a name for himself on the recruiting trail. He has very good height and a good frame, mixed with very good speed and athleticism. He displays very good short-area quickness, change of direction, and good explosiveness in his routes and as a runner. He amassed a stat line of 46 REC, 1,151 YDS, 16 TDs, 18 Rush ATT, and 203 YDS. Don’t sleep on his defensive film either, and he is a big-time playmaker amassing 29 Solo TKLs, 27 Asst. TKLs, 8 INTs, 4 FFs, and 1 FR. He is also registered for our May 4 combine, and we expect him to be one of our top performers.

The development and progression of Roanoke’s Demarcus Brown should be fun to see as he can do many things on the football field and basketball court. He is a two sport star already and can play quarterback, receiver, running back or defensive back, hence why we ranked him with an “Athlete” designation.

The transition for him to wideout this fall makes sense, he has good hands and knows how to highpoint a football. FBS level coaches will be enamored by him and you can see schools like Virginia and Liberty have shown their interest. With a good sophomore season Brown should get a number of division 1 offers.
