I would like to begin a deep dive into our 2028 class, and I am starting with the Offensive Line. Today, I am covering our top 5 ranked offensive linemen who cracked the top 40 overall in the state. A very good athlete for his position, he bends well, displays the lateral quickness, explosiveness, and strength needed. His tape shows he can play in Zone and Gap schemes and can anchor himself in pass protection. There is still room for growth in technique and control. He is a two-way player on offensive line and defensive line and can make a living at either side of the ball at the next level. He is a high end competitor with strength and physical toughness that can't be matched. He is an elite run blocking mauler with raw strength and power, and he moves well for his size. Very good pass protector who shows he can anchor versus top-end recruits. On defense, he is a plug in the interior defensive line, with very good block shed and closing on the ball carrier. In Base blocks, he has the strength and power off the ball to displace defensive linemen. He shows the mental processing to get off double teams and pick up second level defenders to create rushing lanes for his ball carrier. On defense, he displays multiple moves to shed blocks, and has very good lateral movement down the line of scrimmage versus the run. Comes off the ball fast in run blocking, with with good leverage, fit, and finish on his blocks. Displays the athleticism to reach and seal defenders in Zone blocking in space.
