Throughout the next few days, we'll have a ton of content dropping on Prep Redzone Oklahoma, breaking down some of the top players and overall performances that we witnessed on Sunday. We're continuing it today with a look at some of the top athletes from the testing portion of camp! At all Prep Redzone camps, we run the 40-yard dash, the shuttle run, the L-Drill and the standing broad jump. Now full disclosure, it was a cold January day in Broken Arrow so we think the testing times were pretty much down across the board because the weather conditions were less than ideal. But nevertheless, we did have some guys consistently finish in the top ten of their respective drill. We've broken them down in three different categories. Prospects who finished in the top ten in all four, three out of the four or two out of the four. All in all, we have nine prospects who finished in the top ten of multiple testing drills and we spotlight them here! Keep it locked in to Prep Redzone Oklahoma for more content coming from Sunday's camp!

TOP TEN IN ALL FOUR CATEGORIES

[player_tooltip player_id='998365' first='Houston' last='Herrin'] - 2025 Quarterback - Apache

Apache senior quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='998365' first='Houston' last='Herrin'] came to Broken Arrow looking for an opportunity to play at the next level and he certainly took advantage of the opportunity. Herrin, a dual-threat quarterback ended up finishing in the top ten for all four testing categories. Now, we see that from time to time at these events but it's not very often. Herrin had the fastest 40-yard dash time at 4.50 seconds. He also finished with the fastest shuttle time at 4.19 seconds. He was third in the L-Drill with a time of 6.75 seconds and he was tied for the fifth longest broad jump at 9 feet and 3 inches. Not only was he in the top ten for each drill, he was in the top five. Just a spectacular athletic performance from Herrin right from the start on Sunday.

TOP TEN IN THREE OUT OF FOUR CATEGORIES

[player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] - 2027 Quarterback - Davis

Davis sophomore quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1324250' first='Dax' last='Owens'] was definitely someone that we wanted to watch on Sunday after he helped lead the Wolves to a state championship in 2024. Owens is a terrific athlete but we wanted to watch him throw the ball around after not having to do so in the Davis option offense. Before he did that, Owens tested off the charts. He ended up tied for seventh in the shuttle run with a time of 4.41 seconds and then was tied for fifth in the L-Drill with a time of 6.97 seconds. He also had the tenth longest broad jump at 9 feet. It was a solid start for Owens and not entirely surprising because he showcased that athleticism throughout the 2024 season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1599209' first='Knoxtyn' last='Rallo'] - 2028 Athlete - Piedmont

Piedmont freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1599209' first='Knoxtyn' last='Rallo'] definitely was a prospect we were fired up to see in person after knowing he was one of a handful of 2028 prospects in the state that already held a D1 offer. Rallo immediately caught the attention of the coaches there as well. Rallo was tied for the seventh fastest 40-yard dash time at 4.68 seconds and then ran the second fastest shuttle time at 4.28 seconds. He also had the eighth longest broad jump at 9 feet and 1.5 inches. Now on the 40-yard dash time, we heard through the grapevine that he was clocked earlier this month at under 4.5. So again, weather conditions were less than ideal but Rallo is clearly a very athletic and explosive prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='716513' first='Payton' last='Lang'] - 2027 Athlete - Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='716513' first='Payton' last='Lang'] was listed as a quarterback but he's been known to move around and play multiple positions over the last few years. Lang tested incredibly well on Sunday and he's going to be a name to know moving forward as he moves from Muskogee over to Broken Arrow. Lang ran a 4.69 40-yard dash time and that was good enough to put him in a tie for ninth place. He also ran the shuttle in 4.41 seconds and was tied for seventh there. But he absolutely blew everyone away in the broad jump after jumping 9 feet, 9 inches. Second place there was 9 feet, 5 inches. Lang is fast, explosive and incredibly versatile as he can play multiple positions.

TOP TEN IN TWO OUT OF THE FOUR CATEGORIES

[player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] - 2027 Linebacker - Edmond Memorial

Edmond Memorial sophomore linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='216547' first='Colton' last='McComb'] finished in the top ten for two different testing categories and would also earn MVP honors from the linebacker group on Sunday. McComb finished with the fourth fastest shuttle time at 4.37 seconds. He would then finish in a tie for the third longest broad jump with a mark of 9 feet and 3.5 inches. We've already mentioned multiple times how we think McComb is about to blow up as a prospect and he's not only showing that with his production on the field but the measurables and the testing numbers are starting to show that he is without a doubt a prospect to watch for the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1176238' first='Israel' last='Hammons'] - 2027 Athlete - Choctaw

Choctaw sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1176238' first='Israel' last='Hammons'] had a very good argument to be the MVP of the linebacker group as well but that's how these camps go. There are some position groups that are brutal to pick just one player. Hammons was another player that we were excited to see in person after a fantastic sophomore season and he tested incredibly well. Hammons was sixth in the shuttle time and clocked a time of 4.40 seconds on each attempt. He also finished tied for fifth in the L-Drill with a time of 6.97 seconds. Hammons has really good size and the fact that he can move that quickly while changing direction and rotating around cones is a scary combination.

[player_tooltip player_id='1593671' first='Jesiah' last='Gooch'] - 2026 Running Back - Hillsboro, KS.

It was the Oklahoma camp but we had a few prospects from out of state that showed up ready to work. Hillsboro running back and linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1593671' first='Jesiah' last='Gooch'] from Kansas had a good showing in the testing portion and then continued that throughout the afternoon as one of the top running backs in attendance. Gooch would finish in the top ten of the broad jump and the L-Drill on Sunday. His broad jump was 9 feet, 3 inches, which was good enough to put him in a tie for fifth longest jump and his L-Drill was clocked at 6.94 seconds and that put him in fourth place. We watched him run the L-Drill and he was incredibly smooth with his change of direction.

[player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] - 2027 Defensive Back - Del City

Del City sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1035154' first='Kaleb' last='Blackwolf'] was another MVP recipient after a solid day from start to finish. Blackwolf was the MVP for the defensive backs and he would end up finishing in the top ten for the 40-yard dash and the shuttle run. In the 40-yard dash, Blackwolf was tied for the seventh fastest time at 4.68 seconds. He would also be tied for seventh in the shuttle run with a time of 4.41 seconds. Blackwolf has been incredibly productive in his first two seasons at the high school level and he's just scratching the surface on the prospect he can be at the next level. This could end up being a very busy offseason for the Del City ball hawk.

[player_tooltip player_id='1329135' first='Visanio' last='Boyd Jr.'] - 2026 Athlete - Putnam City

And finally, Putnam City junior [player_tooltip player_id='1329135' first='Visanio' last='Boyd Jr.'] is another prospect that would end up making the top ten for two different testing drills. Boyd would finish tied for fifth in the L-Drill with a time of 6.97 seconds. There was a big group of players all tied with that same time. Boyd would also finish in a tie for the fifth longest broad jump. He jumped 9 feet, 3 inches and he showcased the ability to be flexible while explosive throughout the afternoon. We had a handful of prospects that walked up after missing the online registration and Boyd was one of them. We didn't know much about him before the camp on Sunday but he definitely turned a few heads and made the most of his time.
