You don’t have to watch very long into his junior highlights to see how well Jake does in zone coverage. He excels at reading the QB while also staying aware of who is in his zone and where they are at. The junior DB has flashed the closing speed on some of his biggest plays after quickly reading what was developing in front of him. Jake checks the speed box too, showing that he can run vertically with WRs. On top of it all, Kardelis is a reliable tackler. He is a DB that will instantly trigger downhill and make wrap up tackles. He is a well rounded prospect that could make a splash this summer.
