Xavier is a dual threat quarterback and a power runner. He’s shown ball placement and has done well with limiting mistakes and keeping the ball out of danger. He has good velocity and his legs makes him tough for defenses to match up with. He does well on the run and because he can move the chains with his legs, he freezes backers and that’ll allow him to make the necessary throws. He’s had a great start to the season and will look to continue his hot streak into region play.

Cocci comes in from the East Coast and lands in a cozy region where the dynamic dual-threat signal-caller can run wild. He has good velocity on his ball and is best when he is moving around the pocket and can make off-platform throws. He is a power runner who has good power to his game with the lateral quickness needed to make defenders miss in the open field. His ability to move around the pocket, buy additional time, and make the backer choose if he presses forward to contain the run or stay in space where Cocci can move the chains. It’s that stress that makes defenses tired, and he can make a big play. He is a signal caller that is hard to bring down. If the pocket collapses, the defensive linemen still have the task of bringing him down. He is a strong player who can brush off arm tackles and continue with his play. He’ll have a big year in the 4A classification.
