It wasn't the fastest start to the season for McWilliams as he was getting his feet wet, but as the weeks have gone by that confidence has grown and he just popped off on Friday night with his best game yet. He was confident, throwing with anticipation, and dropping dimes. He stood in the pocket tall and went through his reads quickly. He's got a quick release and doesn't hold onto the ball. With 348 passing yards and 3 TDs on the night, it was great to see everything come together for McWilliams.

Moore has been lighting up defenses since week 1 of his freshman year and hasn't slowed down since. If anything, he's sped up since then. He's not the biggest back in the world, but he's a master of his craft. Quick cuts, elite speed, and a north/south runner. Moore doesn't dance around in the hole when it's there. With 180 yards and a TD on the ground with a 20-yard TD through the air on Friday night, he was lights out. I love watching Moore and seeing him torch defenses.

An incredibly versatile and productive player for Cloverdale, Jackson has only improved year after year. This year, his senior year, he's out to top everything he's done in the past. He's on the field in 3 phases of the game and they rely on him. He's already had a 100-yard rushing and 100 yard receiving game this year among putting up 17 tackles on defense. Friday night, however, Jackson was great again. He put up 122 yards through the air and a TD. Jackson is currently 2nd in the state with total points scored, which should give you an idea of his level of production. Versatile players who produce at a high level are always good targets for Saturday programs and Jackson is no different.

Arguably the most consistent RB in the class, Thomas, is having another great season and put up another big night on Friday. I love how Thomas has developed throughout his high school career and his frame is the biggest winner. He's put muscle on in all the right areas, he's smart and has plenty of tread left on his tires. Friday he ripped off multiple big runs because of his ability to find a hole, get small, and shoot out the backside. He finished the night with 130 yards and 3 TDs on the ground as they got the win against NorthWood.

Miller is a dynamic back who is the heart and soul of the offense for Mishawaka and boy, did they need him on Friday night. While he started the night slow, he caught fire and started ripping off big run after big run. He finished the night with 117 rushing yards and 3 TDs, but what made those 3 TDs so special is they all came when they needed it most. The score was tied at 17 and Miller's 3 TDs all came to help break the tie and pull away. When they needed someone to step up and make a play, or two, or three, it was Miller who came through.

Decatur Central is loaded with talented players like Hicks and they all have their big games. This past Friday, it was Hicks's turn to pop off. He's got elite speed, good length, and the ability to get behind the defense. He's great with the ball in his hands and that's why he returns kicks. He housed a 99-yard kickoff return for a TD on the night and then added a 96-yard touchdown run, 85 yards, and 2 TDs through the air. He was on fire and impossible to stop as they blewout No.1 ranked Plainfield.
