The junior quarterback for the Mavericks led the way the entire game where he ended up throwing for 271 yards and 5 touchdowns with no interceptions. The junior has elite arm talent, and he showed it off Friday night making big time throws at every level. A plus athletes that runs better than people think and was able to keep drives alive with his pocket movement. Where he really shines is in his ability to manipulate the pocket and make throws.

[player_tooltip player_id='401579' first='Brody' last='Munson']

Munson had a big day for the Mavericks where he was one of the leading receivers as a strong body wide receiver who is able to use that strength to create separation. Strong hands and willingness to make tough catches over the middle is what separates him from many other around the state. He is a smooth route runner but really shines after the catch where he makes defenders miss.

[player_tooltip player_id='1315987' first='Kian' last='Foy']

Foy had a big game for the Mavericks where he had 4 touchdown receptions on the night. He might not be the biggest receiver on the field but he plays big with his strong hands, speed and ability to twist his body to make tough catches. A silky-smooth route runner with the ability to get in and out of his breaks quickly. He was a bright spot for the Mavericks against the Warriors and should continue for the rest of the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1621787' first='Denton' last='Wilson']

Wilson had a huge game where he 9 catches for 79 yards while really making some of the biggest plays of the night. The sophomore was able to get into big time areas for receptions with his high football IQ and understanding of spacing. He shows good route running ability with strong hands and run after the catch ability.

[player_tooltip player_id='484672' first='Zeke' last='Martinez']

Martinez had a huge game and really carried the Warriors to victory with his 6-touchdown performance. Martinez threw for 322 yards and three touchdowns then rushed for 3 as well. The senior continues to show why he one of the top players in the state with his ability to extend plays, keep his eyes downfield and make big time throws. His senior year is going well to start but he really showed out against Mountain View.

Daysen Boltz

Boltz showed why he is the next big-time target for Meridian making plays down field along with getting up over the top of defenders with his size. His ability to bend and get out of his breaks is impressive for the 6'3'' receiver but he is at his best in one-on-one jump ball situations. Should be a player to keep an eye on this season for sure.

[player_tooltip player_id='1358011' first='Carver' last='Martin']

Martin was another player who had a big game for Meridian where the senior was able to line up in the slot and really stretch the field. A player with good speed and ability to run after the catch Martin is a threat against every level of the defense.

Juvenis Carrasco

Carrasco was a monster in between the tackles for Meridian where he was able to break off long runs all night. His biggest came on a 70-yard scamper up the middle that really helped put Mountain View down. His balance and speed were on full display Friday night where he was able to pick up tough yards all night.
