He is a smooth mover with strong hands, a big catch radius and is a mismatch nightmare downfield. He is physical off the ball, can get open in multiple ways and has a third level gear in the open field while tough to take down once he gets going. He can break quickly to ball carriers and tackles well near the LOS while showing he can quickly knife into the backfield and take on blockers on the outside. He is also a very smart player when sniffing out plays underneath and breaks quickly to ball carriers with PBU abilities and can cover downfield with quick hip turn in transition and recovery speed if beat inside or over the top. Fransen is one of the best available safety prospects across Idaho and is going to be a very nice late steal for a college program. He received Honorable-Mention All Conference honors as a freshman in 2025 and should breakout as a sophomore this Fall. One of the top players in his class across Idaho, he is a excellent safety that comes downhill, tackles exceptionally well in space and knifes into the backfield with closing speed and packs a punch on his way to ball carriers. He is a very smart player that is always around the ball, has man coverage abilities from a hips/speed standpoint and outstanding ball skills and timing downfield. He is very technically sound with heavy hands, strength at the POA and can play stout against the run while having good twitch and a variety of speed and power rush moves in his toolbox when pass rushing. He has been impressive at multiple camps this summer as well, and should gather some D3 interest and offers through his final prep season. He should fit in as a safety in college and excels in coverage with ball skills, a high IQ and can break quickly to ball carriers on the perimeter. He shows he can cover the back half of the field along with getting involved in the run game and can tackle in space/takes good angles and flashes the ability to sniff out plays and is comfortable playing near the box. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
