THIS WEEK’S TOP STORIES
Breakout Star Athlete Earns Three More Offers
We’ve written about Community Christian 2023 ATH
Bai Jobe

State
OK
several times this offseason but for those not familiar with him, here’s the short synopsis. Jobe’s first year of football was 2020 and he didn’t even play the entire season. Despite that, he was very clearly one of the best athletes on the field every time he stepped on it. He’s now become a breakout recruit and picked up three more offers last week. He earned offers from Vanderbilt, followed by Oklahoma State and then Iowa State.
Jobe has only played organized football for about eight months now and he’s now in the conversation for some people as the top recruit in Oklahoma’s 2023 class. While his offer list over the last month is quite impressive, we’re not ready to say he’s the best overall recruit in the class. However, we can’t deny that he’s trending that way and there is no doubt that he might have the highest ceiling among the group of 2023 prospects. The beauty is he’s just now finishing up his sophomore season and has two more years to learn the game and match that aspect of it with his raw athleticism.
Choctaw Big Man Adds More Offers
Moving to the defensive line where we’ll be for this story and our next two as it was a busy week for that position. Choctaw 2022 defensive lineman
Desean Brown

had a busy week with offers and talking with college coaches. He was offered by Houston and TCU within 48 hours and added those to an impressive list of schools who are looking to land the Choctaw big man. A lot of attention has gone to Owasso defensive lineman
Chris McClellan

Owasso | 2022

OK
this offseason with some of the accolades he’s earned and offers literally from all over the country. However, Brown is close to McClellan and shouldn’t be overlooked when it comes to top defensive linemen in the state’s 2022 class.
Brown was an absolute freak of nature for Choctaw in 2020 as he was a force along the line of scrimmage. While McClellan does most of his damage on the interior of the line, Brown is your typical rush end that uses the combination of strength and speed to either overpower or simply go by opposing offensive tackles. Brown is a top ten overall prospect in the state’s 2022 class and his offer sheet backs that up with some pretty big heavy hitters on that list.
Del City Freshman Has Another Big Week
Look, it’s still very early but there is no question that Del City defensive lineman
David Stone
David
Stone
6'4" | 270 lbs | DL
Bradenton IMG Academy | 2024
State
FL
is the top overall prospect in the state’s 2024 class. Like we said, it’s still early as the 2024’s are just now finishing up their freshman year. But Stone had another impressive week last week picking up offers from big programs. First, Texas A&M offered the Del City big man. After that it was Texas extending an offer. And finally, Wisconsin offered Stone and that stood out as Wisconsin does not recruit Oklahoma very often.
Stone is the only 2024 prospect within the state that has picked up D1 offers and that list continues to grow. It’s not going to slow down anytime soon as spring ball and summer workouts are right around the corner and Stone and Del City will certainly have college coaches flocking to the OKC area to get a look at the clear runaway for top prospect in the state’s freshman class.
Johnson Sets Official Visit Date
Sticking at the defensive line position for our final top story but going to the 2022 class with this next one. Putnam City North standout

, similar to the other prospects in this feature has blown up since the completion of his junior season. He’s been offered by several power five programs across the country. Last week, Johnson tweeted out that he would be seeing one of them in person in June. He scheduled one of his five official visits on June 18-20 to visit Missouri’s campus. The Tigers offered Johnson back on March 24th.
