About Nick
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a big bodied defensive lineman who plays with strength, physicality, and a high motor. I use my size and leverage to control blockers, stop the run, and create pressure up the middle.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a hardworking, coachable player who brings toughness and a team first mentality. I take pride in preparation, competing hard every snap, and doing whatever it takes to help the team succeed.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Besides for year round football training and lifting I work for my family business. I have been on the Honor Roll since Freshman year and a member of the National Honor Society. I have also been chosen by my teachers for the Leadership Program at my high school St John’s Prep.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Due to my size I have always been looked at as a natural leader and I try to uphold this in all aspect of life whether it’s on the field, with my classmates or in the community.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
My freshman year of high school I almost died. I was rushed to Boston Children's Hospital for an emergency surgery because my body was septic due to an elbow infection. I spent 13 days in the hospital and needed 2 surgeries. It was a long road to recovery but I was ready for my sophomore year football season.
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a college with strong academics and a competitive football program where I can develop as both a student and athlete in a great team culture. I’m excited to connect with coaches and learn about programs where I can compete, develop, and contribute.
