This article includes testing numbers. It was a cool day with a light rain that caused the turf to be slippery. The players participated in an electric timed 40-yard dash, a hand-timed shuttle, and a broad jump.
I recently wrote about Owen in an article and broke down what his film shows that you can read here. What I saw at the combine is a confident player who is not phased by pressure. That is the mental toughness you want in your QB. He looked good throwing the ball, even in the rain, putting it on target for the WRs.

This was the first time I was able to see D’rhon in person and he did not disappoint. He was voted a team captain last year as a junior and it was obvious to see why. He has a strong work ethic that motivates everyone around him. He plays LB on defense and TE on offense who can also play in the hybrid H-Back role. We believe he can play at the FCS level, and he just received his first offer from Hampton-Sydney.

Domination is what I saw out of Brayden. He is perhaps the best player on Monticello’s roster and was clearly one of the top players at the combine. He did not lose one rep that I was watching and was going against some of the best offensive linemen at the combine. He has very quick initial steps and a combination of moves to get into the backfield.

Ezekiel is no stranger to us at Prep Redzone. Carl and I have been impressed with what we see in his game. Carl recently wrote about him here. What stood out at the combine was something you can’t evaluate on film, and that was Ezekiel’s leadership. First, he was coachable, and second, he was encouraging and helping the rest of the RBs and DBs at the combine with their technique to make them better. He is selfless and wants the best out of everyone, but don’t let that distract you from the level of play he provides. Would not be shocked to see him eventually receive an FCS offer.

If you watch Terrence’s film, you see that he is a big play waiting to happen and his testing numbers at the combine showed why. We have him ranked as an RB, but he is a versatile player on offense, plays DB on defense, and returns kicks. He is a quick and fast weapon for Monticello to use in their offense.

Shuttle (HT): 4.4

I was not aware of Michael Zaney Michael Zaney 6'5" | 205 lbs | WR Monticello | 2025 State VA before the combine, but his height and testing numbers stuck out early at the event. This fall will only be his second season playing football so there is honing to do in his technique, but the upside is there. He displays the athletic tools desired, and I believe he has the upside to run the full route tree. College coaches at the combine were keeping an eye on him the entire time. He is one to watch this fall as he continues to develop his game.

Shuttle (HT): 4.4

I recently broke down Tyberius’ film in my Class of ’25 TE Rankings Breakdown that you can view here. He impressed at the combine with a sub-5 second 40-yard dash. He will be playing alongside D’rohn Jackson at the TE position, and Monticello likes to have both of them on the field at the same time.

40 (ET): 4.98
Shuttle (HT): 4.78
Broad: 8’11”
Juelz is an athletic DB/LB on the field who finds himself around the ball every play. His size does not determine his competitive toughness as he has no issue laying big hits on larger opponents. He tested well at the combine and should be an impact player for Monticello’s defense this fall.

Shuttle (HT): 5.03

Last season was Zayden’s first playing football, and he received All-District honors on defense. Turn on his tape and you see his play-making ability as a WR and DB. He showed to be coachable at the combine and a hard worker. Expect him to improve on last year and play a key role for Monticello this fall.

Monticello’s do-it-all OL, NG, Kicker, and Punter received 1st-Team District honors on offense, 2nd-Team on special teams, and Honorable Mention on defense. He did not participate in the testing, but he will be an important piece to Monticello’s team this fall. He displays a strong leg as a kicker and accuracy in critical moments of the game.

Austin Buelow
Austin is listed as a Guard and Tight End on offense and a Nose Guard on defense. He has elite size for a NG at 331lbs and could find himself in the rotation there to eat up space in the middle. He has no Hudl film to evaluate.

Mohammad is listed as a Full Back and Defensive End. He did not participate in the running drills at the combine. He does not have an X or Hudl account.
