We had a D3 grade on 2025 Parkersburg South DL Tyson Wagoner Tyson Wagoner 6'0" | 285 lbs | DL Parkersburg South | 2025 State WV before the season but this season has us thinking differently. After seeing him live at the PRZ Combine and having another very good senior season, it wouldn’t surprise us if a D2 program takes a flyer on him. Wagoner may not have elite measurables or athleticism but his play on the field has consistently been very good for the Patriots and could demand colleges to overlook those traits. He’s quick off the line for his size and consistently gets penetration into the backfield as an interior defensive lineman. Wagoner will be a steal for a D3 program if he ends up there but is certainly worthy of D2 attention.

A PRZ WV Combine participant who caught our eye back in May was 2025 Parkersburg South DL Tyson Wagoner Tyson Wagoner 6'0" | 285 lbs | DL Parkersburg South | 2025 State WV . This led us to look further into Wagoner’s game which earned a spot inside of the Top 200 based on his junior season and combine performance. Wagoner was very productive for the Patriots last season with 63 tackles, 7.5 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks. Wagoner has quality size in the 6’0 280 range with solid athleticism to pair with it. He’s a physical player on both sides of the line who could also potentially play offensive guard in college as well depending on where programs like him the best. Wagoner has quality short-area quickness with a quick first step that allows him to make plays behind the line of scrimmage. His wide frame also makes him perfect for an interior defensive lineman at the small college level.
Wagoner is a very under-the-radar prospect to know this season that should have D3 programs in the region keeping close tabs on him this season.

Parkersburg South’s Tyson Wagoner Tyson Wagoner 6'0" | 285 lbs | DL Parkersburg South | 2025 State WV is another name that a lot of people may not know right now but likely caught some attention during the Combine. He’s a small college prospect who isn’t big on social media but did a nice job in front of the college coaches in attendance. Wagoner was very productive for the Patriots last season on both sides of the ball but has found a nice niche along the defensive interior.
He totaled 63 tackles, 7.5 TFLs, and 1.5 sacks as a junior in 2023 as a run-stopping defensive tackle. Wagoner has underrated film that is worthy of taking a look at and gives you a better idea of what he’s capable of outisde of a camp setting that can be tougher for interior defensive linemen.
