Expert Analysis
Cory Lemer | Prep Redzone Scout
Wrona was another QB who also suited up for Kingdom Way on Saturday. The Don Bosco rising Senior stands 5’11” 185-Pounds, displaying a solid frame for a QB. Wrona was impressive, displaying a high IQ, and a good understanding of route concepts. I liked his arm strength, and the accuracy that came with it, as he showcased his strengths on each throw. Wrona has good footwork, and solid mechanics, which also were on full display throughout the afternoon.

from Don Bosco is ready to enter the spotlight as the team’s starting quarterback. Wrona gave fans a preview of his talent during two games this past season, stepping in after former starter Devin Sisler suffered an injury. What stood out immediately was his ability to push the ball downfield. Few high school quarterbacks in New Jersey throw a prettier ball than Wrona.
His poise and playmaking ability showed his knack for moving around in the pocket and creating opportunities. With Sisler graduating, Wrona will fully take over Don Bosco’s offense. He is surrounded by weapons like wide receivers

‘s trajectory. Starting with his fundamentals, he does a good job staying balanced and transferring his weight when he throws, accurately dropping dimes from about 45 yards out. I would describe him as a rhythm thrower, who excels at connecting on the deep ball. Prioritizing connecting with teammates, Wrona is willing to stand in the pocket during high-pressure situations in order to deliver for his team, often placing the ball in spots where his receivers can work after the catch. Once the pocket is broken, we see him keep his eyes on the bigger picture, keying them downfield, to complete a big gainer. I would like to see him speed up his motion just about; however, I am most curious to see how Wrona’s escapability and pocket presence translates to the varisty and JV levels in the years to come.

had a nice day and looks to have come a long way since I last saw him play live. Wrona shot up significantly and measured in at 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds this past weekend. Physical maturation and a very successful season as QB1 of a championship-winning Pope John Jr. Lions team, seems to have fueled Wrona’s confidence in his ability. Has a very similar game to fellow 2027 standout signal caller,

and a bit more athletic at this point. He’s nowhere near being a finished product and there’s always things to work on, but hopefully he’ll continue to make large jumps in improvement, like he did from last year to current day. Stay tuned.
