Halfway through the regular season, we have gotten to see a whole lot of good football players perform on Friday nights! Below is a team I have assembled of some of the most impressive talents that are climbing boards!

QB

[player_tooltip player_id='1298640' first='David' last='Krall'], Walled Lake Western (Grand Valley State commit)- David has been absolutely outstanding so far, and has made me rethink my QB rankings for this class. He has been extremely efficient through the air and has been more explosive on the ground as well. What a great get for GVSU!

[player_tooltip player_id='2247624' first='Gibson' last='Rondy'], Ithaca- Colleges are starting to take notice of Gibson and what he has been doing week in and week out. He has been on fire to say the least. He has been accurate and efficient, barely letting the ball so much as hit the ground. Through 4 weeks, he is an astonishing 50/58 with almost 1,000 yards already. Great arm talent, great decision maker and deadly accurate.

RB

[player_tooltip player_id='1615750' first='Jordan' last='Shabazz'], Forest Hills Eastern- What a hot start to the season for Jordan. Thanks to his low center of gravity and impressive balance and agility, he has been a nightmare to take down on first contact. He was very good last year but has gotten a major stock bump through the first few weeks of this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1689115' first='Dean' last='Hammoud'], Dearborn Fordson- Through the first few weeks, there haven't been many running backs doing what Dean is week in and week out. The feature back for Fordson has been putting on a show, and with improved speed and vision, he has taken his game to a whole new level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1826303' first='Prosper' last='Enehiroana'], Mt. Pleasant- Everything about Prosper's game has improved. He is bigger, faster and stronger than he was a year ago, and the running instincts and vision have improved immensely. Really impressed with the way he has played so far this season.

WR

[player_tooltip player_id='2065119' first='Jackson' last='Tur'], De La Salle- Jackson showed me everything I wanted to see from him when I got to see him in week 3. He's big, he's physical and smaller defenders just cannot keep up with him for 4 quarters. He will get a significant bump in our rankings and will be a guy whose name I pass along all year long.

[player_tooltip player_id='1551629' first='Zeke' last='Andrina'], Otsego- Zeke has been all over the field for Otsego so far. Through 4 weeks, he already has 7 receiving touchdowns, a punt returned for a TD, a kick returned for a TD with 28 tackles on defense and 2 interceptions as well. Not many players as productive as Zeke through the first few weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2262906' first='Archer' last='Katt'], Cadillac- Archer is a kid I didn't know a ton about going into this season, but he has put himself squarely on my radar. Really love his film through 4 weeks. Silky release, solid route running and the ability to catch in traffic. Cadillac has themselves a hidden gem!

TE

Carter Jaarsma, Grandville- Carter put me on notice in week 2 when he showed off his versatility. This kid can run block with the best of them and do it unassisted. He also has great hands and can make highly contested catches. Absolutely a Saturday guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2224231' first='Jett' last='Esterline'], Jackson Lumen Christi- I really like Jett defensively, but I was really impressed with him as a TE when I watched him in person last week. Really good routes, and really nice hands. High points the football. Also isn't afraid to play in the trenches and block for the run when asked to.

OL

[player_tooltip player_id='1575193' first='Brock' last='Woodhouse'], Marcellus- The big man has continued to improve his footwork and technique, and it's paying off. Brock is a big stock riser in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1703165' first='Cameron' last='Vanhoose'], Belleville- One of the best interior offensive linemen I have scouted this season. Really solid at the center position and can bump over and play guard at an extremely high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2247001' first='Anakin' last='West'], Hartland- I love the nasty mentality Anakin plays with, and with his improved technique, he has given himself a really solid bump in my eyes. I absolutely slept for too long on West.

[player_tooltip player_id='2224422' first='Logan' last='Godlewski'], Monroe Jefferson- Jefferson has had an impressive start to the year, and Logan has been outstanding. I just spoke about Logan in a recent article, but in short, he's a road grading run blocker who can get out in space and move well and deliver some devastating blocks. Huge stock riser in my eyes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1703720' first='Hunter' last='Anderson'], Fenton- Hunter is a people moving center that I have been impressed with so far. The tape speaks for itself. Really nasty run blocker, but able to hold his own nicely in the middle on passing plays, not letting the pocket fold at all.

DL

[player_tooltip player_id='1613677' first='Tristan' last='Hunter'], West Bloomfield- Tristan is doing what I really wanted to see from him this year. He's finishing plays in the backfield and truly taking over in the trenches. I absolutely love his motor and the way he has been firing off play in and play out. Absolutely a trench monster.

[player_tooltip player_id='1684958' first='Logan' last='Gohr'], Saginaw Heritage- Logan is a problem for defenses thanks to his motor and his ability to mix his speed and power. Much improvement in overall technique. I have been impressed with how much he has come along.

[player_tooltip player_id='2085548' first='Gavin' last='Bouma'], Grand Rapids South Christian- Gavin has had our attention, and we knew the potential was there, but now we're seeing it. Absolute force on the edge with a high motor and starting to really polish his pass rush moves. Sky is the limit going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2090259' first='Brody' last='Hammer'], Thornapple Kellogg- Not many big men move like this. Great size with improved strength but moves well and has no issue chasing the ball down from the back side. Super underrated player with a high ceiling.

LB

[player_tooltip player_id='2246375' first='Luke' last='Grochowski'], Brother Rice- Luke has improved the football IQ a ton, and you can tell the game is coming to him. The game has slowed down, and he is making plays that half a step earlier than he was a year ago. I have been pleasantly surprised at just how much evolving he has done in the last year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1160991' first='Robert' last='Giles'], Grand Blanc- Robert has been an all-around improver. He's bigger and faster than he was a year ago, and the mental side has gotten much easier for him. He's making reads faster and getting to his spot with confidence. No second guessing. Big stock riser no doubt.

[player_tooltip player_id='1687386' first='Darryl' last='Folks III'], River Rouge- Folks just keeps getting better. Makes some absurd plays not many backers in this state can make. I have already started pounding the table for him to get more attention.

DB

[player_tooltip player_id='1550557' first='Quinn' last='Zezula'], Stoney Creek- Quinn has really impressed. I knew it pretty quickly; he has put in the work. He looks really good against the run as he always has, but he has improved his coverage skills immensely. His hips are more fluid, and his closing speed is even better than it was last year. Great under the radar guy to do homework on if you're a school at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1298774' first='Derrick' last='Taylor'], Belleville- Derrick was all over when I watched him in person, and it has continued throughout the last few weeks. Great ball skill and does it all without being uber penalized. I love his game and have given the greenlight for anyone looking for a DB with versatility.
