Because Bishop Guertin has so many weapons on offense it's easy to forget about Curran, but he's coming off a season when he scored 11 touchowns as a junior. He put himself in the spotlight at the jamboree by hauling in an 8-yard touchdown pass from QB [player_tooltip player_id='1455064' first='Nate' last='Bowen'] in the first quarter and scoring on a 3-yard run in the second quarter. The Cardinals typically employ a spread offense, but also go to a Wishbone formation at points during most games. Curran's versatility allows him to stay on the field when BG is trying to take advantage of its athletes, and when the Cardinals try to overpower teams with their power run game.

Much of the talk following Pinkerton's victory over Trinity -- last year's Division II champion -- was about the Astros using wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1659107' first='Noah' last='Rao'] at quarterback, but halfback/defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='2110118' first='Brady' last='Spellman'] was the star of the show. Spellman opened the scoring on a 30-yard run and then came up with an interception on the ensuing possession.Spellman battled injuries last season, but still had 804 all-purpose yards (572 rushing), eight touchdowns and recorded 42 tackles as a junior. He is one of 20 athletes named to the Watch List for the Yukica Award, which is presented annually to New Hampshire's top high school player

Many are expecting a breakout season from Diaz, who got the attention of college coaches at the New Hampshire Showcase in June and was then named the MVP at the University of New Hampshire camp. He produced a highlight during the jamboree when he made a leaping catch of a [player_tooltip player_id='2142240' first='Drake' last='Jaimes'] pass for a 38-yard touchdown, but he also impressed by being very involved in stopping the run as a defensive back. He is one of 50 players named to the New Hampshire Football Report 2026 Top 50.

Mason was thrust into the starting QB role several games into his sophomore season, when he guided Salem to the Division I semifinals. He complemented Salem's run-heavy Wing-T offense by completing 33 passes for 527 yards last season. His dual-threat ability was on display against Bedford -- last year's Division I champion -- during the jamboree when he scored on a 3-yard run and also tossed a 35-yard TD pass to break a 7-7 tie. He also completed passes of 55 yards and 35 yards to halfback [player_tooltip player_id='1080756' first='Colin' last='Salkovitz'] during the jamboree.

Beyer is best known for his defense and made a name for himself on that side of the ball during Bedford's run to the Division I championship last year. He was named to the Division I West All-Conference Team after the 2025 season. He'll be asked to take on a larger role this season as he's penciled in as one of Bedford's starting halfbacks. Beyer performed well against Salem's run game during the jamboree, but also scored on a 13-yard run. He'll be a big piece of the offense for Bedford, which has scrapped the spread attack it used last season and is running the Wing-T.
