The Queen City Jamboree is the largest preseason high school football event in New Hampshire leading up to the start of the NHIAA season. This year's jamboree will take place Aug. 28 at Gill Stadium in Manchester. Ten teams will participate, including Bishop Guertin and Pinkerton Academy -- the top two team in the New Hampshire Football Report Preseason Top 10. This year's matchups are Alvirne vs. Pembroke, Bishop Guertin vs. Souhegan, Pinkerton vs. Trinity, Manchester Central vs. Manchester West and Bedford vs. Salem. Here are seven players to keep an eye on:

Kearns (top photo) will likely line up at left guard next to tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1646322' first='Vincent' last='Nalen'], who is among the top prospects from New England in the Class of 2029. Kearns, who also plays defensive tackle, was among the few juniors named to the Division I All-State Team following the 2025 season. An exceptional wrestler, Kearns won the NHIAA Meet of Champions and finished fourth in the New England Wrestling championships last winter. He's uncommitted, but it's hard to envision him not playing college football.

Salkovitz rushed for 790 yards and 14 touchdowns for the Blue Devils last season, but should have a larger role in the team's offense this year now that [player_tooltip player_id='1575710' first='Jordan' last='Zannini'] has moved on to Bridgton Academy. He showed that he can handle a heavy rushing load when he ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns against Bishop Guertin last season. Salkovitz, who also plays in the defensive backfield, has been contributing at the varsity level since his freshman season and will likely be one of the top two-way players in the Division I Central Conference.

Michaud doesn't always get the recognition he deserves because he's often overshadowed by teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2110118' first='Brady' last='Spellman'], but he would be the top offensive threat for most teams in New Hampshire. Although Michaud was a Division I Central All-State selection as a defensive back last season, he also showed his versatility on offense by compiling 441 receiving yards and catching six touchdown passes, and rushing for 351 yards and 11 touchdowns. He's one of six players in the Class of 2027 who started on offense for Pinkerton's Division I runner-up team in 2025.

You can make a strong case that Bowen is the top returning quarterback in the state. He's passed passed for 4, 313 yards and 42 touchdowns during his high school career, and has also gained 1,105 yards on the ground. He was a semifinalist for the Yukica Player of the Year Award last season, and should be a strong candidate to be the state's Player of the Year in 2026. Bowen, who led Division I in passing yards as a sophomore (1,705), is a two-year captain and has been a Division I West All-Conference selection in each of the last two seasons.

Noone is a 205-pound offensive lineman who will also play inside linebacker for the Broncos. He was a two-way starter last season, but enters 2026 a bit under the radar because he missed much of the 2025 season with an injury. He's slotted at left tackle, but can play all five positions on the offensive line. Almost everyone on the Alvirne roster is a multi-sport athlete and Noone is no exception (track and field).

Jaimes was thrust into a starting role at quarterback last season -- his sophomore year -- and good things usually happened when he put the ball in the air. Still, it will be interesting to see how much he improved during the off-season and how much the game slows down for him during his junior season. He has a strong arm and has an exceptional receiver to throw to in junior Romello Diaz, who shined at the University of New Hampshire camp this summer. Central will face cross-town rival Manchester West in the jamboree, so expect the intensity to be high.

Green is a power back who isn't fun to tackle, but he also brings some wiggle and athleticism to the table when he carries the ball. His workload on offense increased during the second half of last season, when he rushed for just under 600 yards -- mostly 3 or 4 yards at a time. He'll have a largr offensive role this season, but he plays his best football when he lines up at outside linebacker. He should be a dominant player on both sides of the ball in Division II this season.
