Expert Analysis
Roger Brown | Prep Redzone Scout
Bowen is the early favorite to win the Yukica Award, which is presented annually to New Hampshire’s top player. He completed 19-of-20 passes for 314 yards and five touchdowns without an interception in the win. That performance came one week after he completed 14-of-24 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns during a victory over Nashua North. The college program that lands Bowen will get a bonus, since he’s also a good place-kicker. He made four PATs and ran in a two-point conversion against Exeter.

He completed 14 of 24 passes for 320 yards and three touchdowns without an interception in the victory. Two of his three touchdown passes were caught by his younger brother, Jake Bowen, who had four receptions for 203 yards. You can make a strong case that Bowen is the top returning quarterback in the state. He’s passed passed for 4, 313 yards and 42 touchdowns during his high school career, and has also gained 1,105 yards on the ground. He was a semifinalist for the Yukica Player of the Year Award last season, and should be a strong candidate to be the state’s Player of the Year in 2026. Bowen, who led Division I in passing yards as a sophomore (1,705), is a two-year captain and has been a Division I West All-Conference selection in each of the last two seasons.

, who was Bishop Guertin’s starting quarterback during his sophomore and junior seasons. Production hasn’t been an issue either, as he will enter his senior year with 4, 213 passing yards and 40 passing touchdowns. Bowen isn’t scared to put the ball in tight windows and is often at his best in big games. He completed 12-of-16 passes for 209 yards and three touchdowns without an interception during a loss against unbeaten Bedford last season. Bowen displays good body language on the field, even after bad plays. He must make better risk/reward decisions, which will cut down on his number of interceptions (13 last season). Ball security is another area that needs improvement, but overall he’s an exceptional passer who can extend plays with his mobility. He is on the short list of top New Hampshire quarterbacks entering the 2026 season.

Nate had one of the better performances from the class of 2027 QB’s. Nate is a QB who can get it done with his legs or through the air. He showed accuracy and timing on his shorter throws. Nate did a nice job of throwing his WR’s open. Has the arm talent to throw into tight windows. I believe Nate will be a quality QB prospect if he continues to improve his craft.
