PRZMN 2027 Uncommitted Stars Still on Radar

With the 2026 high school football season about to get underway, there are still many prevalent standouts on our rankings board that are still looking to commit, whether through a slow offseason or still waiting for the right choice, all of these standouts on this list are players that rank in the top-50 among the class of 2027 and are still available for prospecting teams to go after as they enter their senior seasons. We take a look at 8 of the top uncommitted stars still available on the recruiting radar for prospecting teams entering the 2026 season!    A quiet offseason with almost no appearances at prospect camps have kept [player_tooltip player_id='1792020' first='Ty' last='Malone'] from being a premier target among teams this offseason, but Malone has proven himself to flash high-quality D1-caliber talent. An outstanding athlete with track speed, Malone has the potential to break away from his opponents whenever he gets his hands on the ball. Flashing great ball skills and vision at DB, WR, and return specialist, Malone is able to consistently win his 1-on-1 matchups with great footwork, strength, and explosiveness, making him an electric presence for Minnehaha's offense. Malone holds 3 D1 offers at the moment, all at the FCS level, though perhaps with a stronger presence this offseason could have helped bump him up to the Power-5 level, but Malone will look to prove himself again why he is one of the very best prospects in the class of 2027 for MN.     [player_tooltip player_id='1423910' first='Elias' last='Tiah'] boasts a unique edge as a mid-year transfer from Arizona to Maple Grove, and he's already proven himself as one of the top high school football players in a state who's conditions could not be any more different from Arizona. Tiah is a natural at Strong Safety; a hard hitting enforcer who can close down space and minimize the run even backed up about 10-15 yards from the play at the start of the run, showcasing great physicality and instincts to be able to put fear into his opponents and create big plays for his defense. Tiah currently holds a D1 offer from Illinois State, and perhaps with a full season's worth of reps in 2026 should convince more D1 teams around the Midwest and beyond to give this kid some serious attention.     The three-star DB has had a very quiet offseason, which has prevented him from getting any offers at the collegiate level, but [player_tooltip player_id='1049987' first='James' last='Fitch'] IV still yields serious attention as a premier DB prospect. Fitch shows great movement, with natural hip agility and change of direction, being able to start and stop with impressive fluidity and quickness, along with with impressive physicality that goes beyond his size, flashing his versatility playing in both man and zone coverage. Fitch currently holds an offer from Western Kentucky, and he will look to remerge onto the scene and prove his high-caliber status to quell the indecisiveness from scouts by the end of his senior season.     We have talked about [player_tooltip player_id='1061080' first='Tristan' last='Karl'] quite a bit this offseason, but as top remaining unsigned QB in his class in MN, Karl should continue to be at the center of attention for prospecting teams as he enters his senior season. Karl was a steady presence during the 612Qs camp over this offseason, and he's no doubt proven to flash electric potential as a dual-threat QB, the latest among an impressive group of QBs they've boasted over the last few years, helping maintain the Cadets' strong standing as one of the toughest competitors in the 5A conference. Karl has garnered attention from several D1 teams, and he currently holds one offer from Bowling Green. It will be interesting to see who else bites to try to bring in Karl to start at the next level.     [player_tooltip player_id='1629868' first='Jayden' last='Meister'] presents himself as an interesting anomaly among this recruiting class; a lengthy, but perhaps oversized DB who boasts incredible athleticism, and flashes the mechanics that could make him an interesting developmental project with the right fit at the next level. Then comes the added question of whether he may prefer basketball over football at the next level after having played with an AAU team, but his quickness, footwork, and smooth movement have translated just as well on the gridiron as on the court, and through that has developed solid coverage skills, being able to keep up with shifty WRs and using his length to his advantage in breaking up passes. Meister has garnered D2 offers as a football player, and it will be interesting to see what path Meister may take at the next level, but there is no doubt he will be a great athlete wherever he goes and whichever sport he pursues.     [player_tooltip player_id='1581350' first='Cartier' last='Russell'] has been a fantastic prospect to add himself to a long name of revered and accomplished athletes from Cretin-Derham-Hall that has garnered significant attention on the gridiron. Russell's performance in track over this offseason has certainly given Russell a much needed boost on his radar as he flashes the combination of speed, athleticism, and skills to handle his own 1-on-1 as a lockdown CB, not to mention his special-teams value with his knack for blocking kicks. Russell holds several offers, including D1 offers from South Dakota and Northern Iowa, and it's only a matter of time before Russell finds his destination where he should continue to excel on Saturdays.     It's impressive that [player_tooltip player_id='1629872' first='Jon' last='Wiseman'] hasn't garnered as high of a level of attention compared to some of the other players on this list this offseason, especially after a busy offseason where he has stood out at multiple camps, and he was the DL MVP at the MSU-Mankato camp back in June. He plays with the style of a bull charging head on at a target, consistently driving his feet and playing with a blue-chip mentality, which helped him stand out over the course of last season as well as at the multiple camps he attended over the course of this summer. Wiseman has gathered an array of offers this offseason, though his one D1 offer remains to be Northern Iowa, though after such a strong offseason he should garner more opportunities to play at the D1 level going forward.     [player_tooltip player_id='1633474' first='Preston' last='Nelson'] solidified his fast-rising status as one of the top RBs in MN after an outstanding junior campaign for the Rebels, rushing for 1432 yards (6.8 YPC) and 18 TDs in 2025 to go with 135 receiving yards on 8 receptions. Nelson appeared at the Wisconsin Badgers' football camp as well this summer, and played largely well, flashing outstanding agility and footwork, being able to stick his foot in the ground and make defenders miss even right in front of him. Nelson shows a great natural base with strong hips and great pad level, being able to keep his feet and maintain his balance through traffic, as well as generate some impressive speed at the second level. Nelson currently holds one D1 offer from Northern Iowa, and despite a fairly quiet offseason, it's impressive that Nelson hasn't gotten more serious attention for how skilled he's shown to be at the RB position.
