With the season close to kicking off, I decided to share my personal first team for players in the state of Louisiana.

Quarterback: [player_tooltip player_id='642719' first='Elijah' last='Haven']

The quarterback position is one that has so many talented players, and it was difficult to determine, but after plenty of research, I believe that the nod needs to go to [player_tooltip player_id='642719' first='Elijah' last='Haven']. Haven is an Alabama Crimson Tide commit and is someone who has been able to stretch the field at an elite level. His continued growth and success can't be taken for granted, and he is set for an unbelievable season.

Running Back: [player_tooltip player_id='1610246' first='Trey' last='Martin']

The LSU Tigers commit gets the nod, but the race for this spot was extremely close. He is one of the more gifted players in the entire state, and he is someone who will only get better this upcoming season. He has a solid frame and is a great prospect that no one should overlook, especially defensive coordinators.

Wide Receivers: [player_tooltip player_id='723579' first='Easton' last='Royal'], [player_tooltip player_id='1323402' first='Miguel' last='Whitley'], [player_tooltip player_id='934564' first='Braylun' last='Huglon']

When it comes to the wide receivers, these three make the first team thanks to their contribution on the field as route runners and reliable factors. Each receiver brings something different to the table and would make a great trio. I believe these three are the most deserving, despite there being plenty of talented wide receivers in the state.

Tight End: [player_tooltip player_id='469439' first='Ahmad' last='Hudson']

This one is likely noticeable, as [player_tooltip player_id='469439' first='Ahmad' last='Hudson'] isn't only the best tight end in the state of Louisiana, but the best tight end in the country, in my opinion. Hudson is a freakish athlete with plenty of key traits, such as his ability to vertically dominate the linebackers and slot corners who play against him.

Offensive Line: [player_tooltip player_id='1801742' first='Jackson' last='Shaw'], [player_tooltip player_id='1593644' first='Albert' last='Simien'], [player_tooltip player_id='1593649' first='Zyion' last='Wesley'], [player_tooltip player_id='1619260' first='Andrew' last='Shofstahl'], [player_tooltip player_id='1471211' first='Blair' last='Lewis']

The state of Louisiana has plenty of talented offensive linemen. This is one of their strongest positions, and is one of the positions that will make the most headlines by the time that they get to college. The first 2029 player makes the list, as Lewis sneaks on. This is by far one of my more confident lineups.

EDGEs: [player_tooltip player_id='1372214' first='Chance' last='Archangel'], [player_tooltip player_id='1610129' first='Juelz' last='Batiste']

Arguably the most intriguing position on the list is EDGE, as [player_tooltip player_id='1372214' first='Chance' last='Archangel'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1610129' first='Juelz' last='Batiste'] both make the cut. One could argue that they are entirely different players, yet their production is something that has landed both of them as SEC commits, with Archangel committed to Texas A&M and Batiste committed to Ole Miss at this time.

Defensive Line: [player_tooltip player_id='2234574' first='Ronald' last='Crawford'], [player_tooltip player_id='2243882' first='Edward' last='Dailey']

When it comes to the interior defensive line, [player_tooltip player_id='2243882' first='Edward' last='Dailey'] makes the cut as a 2029 prospect. He is joined by [player_tooltip player_id='2234574' first='Ronald' last='Crawford'], who I believe is one of the players with the highest upside. Both players could have a massive season, and are players I am watching closely.

Linebackers: [player_tooltip player_id='1866681' first='Shamar' last='Evans'], [player_tooltip player_id='1848581' first='Aidan' last='Adams']

One of the coolest factors about these two is the fact that they are teammates. It goes to show that they are two of the best players in the entire state, and two players who could change the season entirely. I believe these two were the best for the job and will be the stars of the show on defense for Ruston.

Cornerbacks: [player_tooltip player_id='1612641' first='Markez' last='Davis'], [player_tooltip player_id='1802167' first='Kameron' last='Grisby'], [player_tooltip player_id='2056653' first='Jewellz' last='Tapp']

This is a group that probably looks different than people were anticipating. I am extremely high on [player_tooltip player_id='2056653' first='Jewellz' last='Tapp'], who makes the list as one of the first-team cornerbacks. I believe this list is correct, especially with [player_tooltip player_id='1802167' first='Kameron' last='Grisby'] making the list, as he is going to be one of the better players in the state of Louisiana as a whole, in my opinion.

Safeties: Jaden Keelan, [player_tooltip player_id='1632323' first='Kaston' last='Lewis']

A pair of great safeties, although there were plenty of players who could have made this list. Both players have the chance to be electric this season, and both players, I believe, will be on the final list by the end of the season.

Kicker: Beckett Cocke

The talented kicker was nearly automatic last season and is expected to repeat similar production this season. He finished with 20 made field goals and could even do better.

Punter: Colton Mayers

When a player can lead the state in average yards per punt, it is safe to say that he is deserving to be on this list. He is only a 2028 prospect and is expected to improve upon his season last year.

With the season close to kicking off, I decided to share my personal first team for players in the state of Louisiana.
