Trey Martin Trey Martin 5'11" | 185 lbs | RB/DB Franklin Parish | 2027 State LA is the running back who comes in at No. 1 on the list this go-around, as he is ranked as the state’s No. 9 prospect in the class of 2027 and the state of Louisiana. He continues to show that he is one of the more gifted running backs and is a player with nothing short of great opportunities and a great bag of traits. He is extremely elusive, but can lower his shoulder when he needs to. He is one that I am watching closely this season, as I do believe he is deserving of the No. 1-ranked running back spot, but isn’t exactly a runaway in the class of 2027.

One of the top safeties in the state last year, Martin is making the same case in the offensive backfield. The junior runningback is a punishing runner but can make defenders miss on his jumpcut and accelerate in a hurry. He also proved to be significant asset to the passing game out of the backfield.

Trey stands out on a loaded Patriots squad as a versatile athlete that can make an impact at running back and as a returner. Where Martin stands out the most is roaming around in the secondary. A punishing run-fitter and natural ball hawk, his recruitment will be hot as his junior season gets started.
