MD 4A South Region Preview: Top 2027/2028 Prospects

Prince George's County heads into 2026 with a clear top dog and a lot of young talent ready to make noise. Wise set the standard last year at 11-2 with one of the best defenses in Maryland. The last time Wise didn't finish as the No. 1 team in the region was in 2022, when Flowers earned the slot with a 13-1 record (Wise finished 11-2). Despite not earning the No. 1 seed, Roosevelt has been one of the more consistent teams over the past three seasons.
