Expert Analysis
Corey Bailey | Prep Redzone Scout
Rusten brings added value as a big-play threat on special teams while also showing polish as a receiver in the offensive passing game. He runs crisp, efficient short routes, getting in and out of his breaks smoothly and with purpose, which allows him to create separation quickly underneath. His route discipline and timing put him in favorable positions to make plays.
That attention to detail paid off this season, as Rusten found the end zone twice on short-area touchdown receptions, getting open with sharp cuts and reliable hands. Whether impacting the game in the return phase or moving the chains as a receiver, Rusten’s ability to make plays in space gives him a versatile profile and added upside moving forward.

Khryee Rusten has good straight-line speed and elusiveness. He is also a valuable asset in the return and receiving game. Rusten showcases his speed and vision as a return specialist in his highlights. He makes a couple of nice returns by accelerating through gaps and making the defensive miss open-field tackles.
Rusten also shows that he’s a good red-zone target. One highlight shows his leaping ability and body control as he makes a contested touchdown catch. Rusten also has good hands and timing when high-pointing passes. You can see that as he makes catches on the seam and crossing routes on his highlights.
I would like to see more route diversity. The current highlights are limited in that regard. It would help to assess Rusten’s route-running ability outside of what he does in the red zone.
