The 2028 class continues to take shape across Texas, with several rising prospects making their way into the latest Prep Redzone rankings. These athletes have separated themselves through their performances on the field, showing the talent, physical tools, and potential needed to compete at a high level. Here's a look at some of the newest additions to the 2028 Texas rankings and what makes each prospect stand out.    eyden is a running back with the type of elite speed that can completely change a game. He has the burst to hit the line quickly and the acceleration to separate from defenders once he finds daylight. His ability to get to the edge puts pressure on the defense, while his top-end speed gives him legitimate home-run potential whenever he breaks into the second level.     Jordan is an offensive lineman who has the opportunity to continue developing into a dependable presence up front. He shows the physicality needed to compete in the trenches and has the frame to become more effective as he adds strength and experience. One of the areas to watch will be his ability to consistently stay square to defenders, maintain his leverage, and finish blocks through the play. Jordan's development in pass protection will also be important as he continues to see more advanced rushers.     Jones enters the season with the opportunity to take his game to another level and turn his potential into consistent production. He has the chance to establish himself as a player who can make an impact from week to week, particularly when the competition gets tougher. This season will be important for Jones as he looks to play with more confidence, make the most of his opportunities, and show that he can consistently affect the outcome of games.     Coleman has quickly become a receiver to keep an eye on, with his recruiting stock already gaining momentum through the number of offers coming his way. He has shown the ability to command attention from college programs, and now the next step is turning that interest into consistent production on Friday nights. Coleman has the opportunity to show that he can be more than just a talented athlete by becoming a dependable target in important situations and making plays when his team needs them most.     Zion is an offensive lineman who brings a physical edge to the position and has the opportunity to make his presence felt in the trenches. He shows the willingness to engage defenders and compete through the whistle, which gives him a strong foundation to build on. In the run game, Zion can use his strength and leverage to create movement and help open running lanes, while his development in pass protection will be important as he faces more athletic defensive fronts.     Max is a wide receiver who has an opportunity to make a strong statement this season. He brings athletic ability to the position and will look to become a more consistent target within the passing game. His ability to create separation, work through coverage, and make plays when the ball comes his way will be key to his success. This season gives Max a chance to show his growth, build on his strengths, and establish himself as a receiver to watch.     Kenyon is a versatile two way player who has the ability to impact the game on both sides of the football. Offensively, he has the ability to contribute as a playmaker, while defensively he brings the physicality and competitiveness needed to make an impact. Uriah is an edge defender with the physical tools to create problems for opposing offenses. Rit heads into the season with an opportunity to take another step forward in the secondary. Jordan is a defensive back who has the opportunity to make a strong impact in the secondary this season. He brings the athletic ability to stay with receivers in coverage while also having the willingness to compete when the ball is in the air. Jordan's development as a defender will come down to his consistency with his technique, recognition, and ability to finish plays once the opportunity presents itself.     Peyton is an offensive lineman with the physical tools to continue making progress in the trenches. He shows a willingness to compete at the point of attack and has the frame to handle the demands that come with playing up front. Peyton's ability to stay engaged through blocks and create space for the offense will be important as he takes on more responsibility.     Julian is a linebacker I'm looking forward to watching closely this season as he takes on another opportunity to elevate his game. He has the chance to show continued growth in his instincts, physicality, and ability to consistently find the football. Playing in the middle of the defense requires quick recognition and a willingness to attack, and Julian has the opportunity to establish himself as a dependable presence at the position.     Raymond is a running back who brings a physical running style and the ability to make plays out of the backfield. He shows good patience when working through the line and has the vision to identify running lanes before accelerating through them. Once he gets into the second level, Raymond has the ability to turn positive runs into bigger gains by using his athleticism and balance to work away from defenders. He also brings value with his ability to handle contact and keep his legs moving through tackles.     Gavin is a versatile athlete who can make an impact on both sides of the football as a defensive back and wide receiver. At receiver, he brings the ability to create separation and make plays with the ball in his hands, while his defensive experience gives him a strong understanding of how to attack and defend routes. That versatility allows him to contribute in different situations and gives his team flexibility when moving him around the field.     Travis is an offensive lineman I'm looking forward to watching closely this season. He has the opportunity to show how much his game has developed and take on a bigger role up front. His ability to compete in the trenches, maintain his blocks, and create opportunities for the offense will be important as the season progresses. With another year of development under his belt, Travis has a chance to show that he belongs among the better offensive linemen in the class. I'm excited to see what he brings to the field this season.     Braun brings value on both sides of the football, giving his team a physical presence as a running back and linebacker. Offensively, he has the ability to run with purpose and attack running lanes while bringing a physical element to the position. Defensively, Braun's willingness to get downhill and be around the football allows him to make an impact from the second level. His two way ability gives him a chance to influence games in different ways and shows his overall football instincts.     Davis is one of those versatile athletes who can impact the game from multiple positions. He has the athletic ability and football instincts to line up at quarterback, but his skill set allows him to contribute in other areas as well. With the ball in his hands, Davis has the ability to create plays on his own and make things happen when a play breaks down     Jayce is heading into the season with an opportunity to make a strong statement in the secondary. At defensive back, he has the chance to build on his previous experience and show greater consistency in coverage while making plays when the ball comes his way. His development will be important as he looks to become more comfortable recognizing routes, playing through the hands of receivers, and finishing at the point of attack     Tom is coming off a productive offseason and looks ready to put that work on display when the season begins. The preparation over the past several months has given him an opportunity to improve his overall game and enter the year with added confidence. Now, the focus shifts to translating that offseason development into consistent production on the field.     Kevin enters the season with plenty of momentum, already holding five offers and looking to build off what he showed last season. The linebacker has an opportunity to take another step forward as he continues to gain confidence and become more consistent on the defensive side of the ball. His experience from last season should help him play faster and with greater awareness, particularly when diagnosing plays and getting downhill against the run. With five programs already showing interest, a strong junior campaign could lead to even more opportunities and help Kevin establish himself as one of the linebackers to watch moving forward.     Ellis heads into his junior season with an opportunity to take a significant step forward and make his presence felt on the field. He has shown enough ability to warrant attention, and this season will be important in showing how his game continues to develop against stronger competition. Ellis has the physical tools to make an impact, but consistency will be key as he looks to put together a strong year from start to finish.     Jake is an offensive lineman who shows a good understanding of how to use his body and positioning to stay effective at the point of attack. He displays solid balance when engaging defenders and has the ability to stay connected through the block rather than giving up on the play. Jake can be effective creating space in the run game and shows the willingness to finish blocks through the whistle.     Caleb brings a physical approach to the offensive line and has the frame to handle a variety of responsibilities up front. He shows good awareness of what is happening around him and does a nice job staying engaged once he gets his hands on a defender. In the run game, Caleb has the ability to get his body in position and open lanes for the ball carrier, while his physicality allows him to hold his ground when defenders attack the line of scrimmage.     Julian possesses the type of breakaway speed that can change a game from the wide receiver position. Once he gets a step on a defensive back, he has the acceleration to create separation quickly and turn a completion into an explosive play. His ability to stretch the field vertically forces defenders to respect his speed, opening opportunities underneath and across the middle of the field. Julian also has the athleticism to make plays in space and maximize his opportunities after the catch.     Jayden is a wide receiver who moves well and brings good athleticism to the position. He has the ability to get in and out of his breaks with enough quickness to create separation, while his running ability allows him to be a threat once the ball is in his hands. Jayden can use his movement skills to work through different areas of the field and create opportunities for himself in space.     Torion is a wide receiver who brings a confident approach to the position and is not afraid to make difficult catches in traffic. He shows good toughness working across the middle of the field and has the willingness to put himself in position to make contested grabs with defenders closing in. His ability to operate between the hashes gives him another way to impact the passing game,     DJ enters his junior season as a playmaking wide receiver who has the ability to make an impact in multiple areas of the passing game. He is a receiver who can create problems for defenses with his ability to get open and make plays once the ball is in his hands. DJ shows the instincts and natural feel to find openings in coverage, while his ability to make plays after the catch adds another dimension to his game.     Simmons is an explosive running back who immediately stands out with his ability to create separation once he gets into the open field. His speed is one of his biggest strengths, allowing him to press the line of scrimmage, identify a crease, and accelerate through it before defenders can close. He holds one offer from North Dakota State.     Brian is an intriguing defensive end prospect who brings a strong combination of physical tools and athletic ability to the position. He shows the ability to create disruption off the edge and plays with a motor that allows him to stay involved throughout the play. As he continues to develop his technique and add strength, brian pulled in some offers already. Illinois, New Mexico State, UTEP.
