Julian is a linebacker I’m looking forward to watching closely this season as he takes on another opportunity to elevate his game. He has the chance to show continued growth in his instincts, physicality, and ability to consistently find the football. Playing in the middle of the defense requires quick recognition and a willingness to attack, and Julian has the opportunity to establish himself as a dependable presence at the position.

Julian plays with steady awareness and consistently finds himself near the football. He reads run action quickly, takes efficient angles, and arrives under control to finish tackles. He doesn’t overrun plays, stays patient before committing, and shows the ability to clean up plays in space. His feel for the game allows him to stay involved snap after snap.

Julian had a strong camp showing his versatility and ability to impact the field in multiple ways. Throughout coverage drills, he moved well in space, showing smooth hips, good change of direction, and the awareness to stay connected to receivers. He was disciplined with his eyes, reacted quickly to route breaks, and closed on the ball with urgency. In team and individual work, Julian played with confidence, communicated well, and consistently put himself in the right position, proving he can be relied on in coverage while still bringing energy and competitiveness to every rep.

Deloera was the biggest surprise of the day and firmly put himself on the radar with an MVP performance at linebacker. He showed good feet, lateral quickness, and the ability to cover in space. He won several reps against running backs and closed ground quickly.

On fall film, he flashes playmaking ability, highlighted by a 100-yard interception return, along with sure tackling in the open field. As an outside linebacker, he sets a hard edge and plays with speed and confidence. A sophomore prospect trending up in a big way.
