His ability to run hard and glide while he runs is impressive. He has an impressive style of getting downhill and then making defenders miss in the open field. He is quick and has a burst, but also possesses good moves to make defenders miss in the open field. The other part of his game is his physical running style. As an offensive lineman and defensive lineman, he is highly skilled. As a defensive lineman, he does a good job of firing off the line and making in offenses' backfields. He also shows a motor that never quits. Then on the offensive line, he is technically sound. He has a good stance and fires off the ball well. As a defensive tackle, he shows a good ability. He is hard to move off his spot. He is a penetrating run-stuffing defensive tackle. Then on offense, he is an awesome offensive guard. He is a mauler in the run game. He dominates defenders. Flaherty has been getting offers to play at the next level. He currently has offers from Bowdoin, Williams, and Carnegie Mellon. He has good mechanics and footwork. Then, when the play breaks down, he turns into a playmaker, scrambling around to make plays with his feet. He has the size (6'3") and strength that make him a high-level player. You do not see players with his size and strength play at his level. As a defensive lineman, he is a penetrating force that is hard to move off his spot. On the offensive line, he is a good interior offensive lineman who is a dominant player. It is shocking to see him with no offers, but I expect he will eventually get plenty of offers.
