2029 Rankings Update: DL

With that in mind, we have begun a new wave of rankings updates in the state of Kentucky. To start things up in this round of updates, we have officially released our updated Top 125 players in the class of 2029. With these updates being published, I will be taking some time to break them down by position. Miller is explosive out of his stance and uses his strength and high motor to fight through blocks with ease on his way to the ball carrier. Caleb does a great job of finishing his tackles quickly once he gets to the ball carrier, finishing the year with 73 tackles and 6.5 tackles for loss in 11 games. He also recorded a sack as a freshman. He lines up at defensive tackle where he is very impressive against the run. Long is very difficult to move off the line of scrimmage as he has shown the strength to hold his ground to clog up his gap while taking on blocks. He has also shown the ability to split double teams with ease on his way to the ball carrier. Once he gets through the block, Long has shown the ability to get to the ball carrier with a sense of urgency to make the tackle in the open field. Wells lines up at defensive tackle where he is very reliable against the run. Wells has shown the ability to use his combination of strength and speed to defeat blocks quickly on his way to the ball carrier. Once he gets to the ball carrier, Wells wastes no time as he explodes through contact and finishes his tackles quickly with a ton of physicality. Jaxon finished his freshman year with 22 tackles and two tackles for loss in 13 games. He also finished this past season with two sacks. Arms lines up at defensive end where he is at his best against the run. He does a great job of using his strong hands and length to stack blocks with ease while reading the play. Once he sees where the ball is going, Arms sheds blocks with a sense of urgency then uses his speed to get to the ball carrier to make the tackle. Brenton finished his freshman year with 23 tackles and a half tackle for loss in seven games. Samuel lines up at defensive end where he is very effective against the run. He has shown the ability to use his speed to his advantage to blow by opposing offensive linemen on his way to the ball carrier. When offensive linemen are able to get their hands on him, Samuel has also shown the strength to fight through blocks. When Hagen arrives at the ball carrier, he does a great job of running his feet through contact to secure the tackle with ease.
