His ability to create and scramble makes him a huge threat the moment he leaves the pocket. He does a great job of evading and moving around and making guys miss both out in space and in close quarters. What separates him from similar athletic quarterbacks are his instincts as a passer. He doesn't immediately rely on his legs, but instead buys time and keeps his eyes downfield until his receiver gets a step, and then immediately uncorks it for a big play. His consistency as a pure drop back passer remains to be seen, but the upside and playmaking ability is all there. As I have discussed before, his skillset projects perfectly into an RPO-based offense where his quick processing and trigger can really shine. He understands what he is seeing and gets through reads quickly and delivers consistently accurate balls. He is also a dangerous athlete on the ground, another trait lending itself to that RPO style. He is an elusive runner that can get vertical and make guys miss in space. He absolutely stresses defenses out having to account for his legs on every play. The physical tools are impressive, but what truly separates him from some of the others in his class is his football IQ and natural feel for the position. He processes things at a high level, makes good decisions and is a natural leader. He is also extremely committed to his development. He maximizes every rep in 7 on 7 season, taking camps seriously and continuing to strengthen his mechanics. There are no glaring weaknesses in his game currently, and the reps against some of the state's best talent week in and week out continues to make him better. At his best, Snip does a great job staying calm in the pocket without developing happy feet or forcing anything. Beyond that, he has developed quite a bit as an athlete, allowing him to extend plays when things break down while still keeping his focus downfield. He throws really well on the move, and has shown accuracy even across this body. The arm strength is there as well, consistently driving the ball into tight windows and putting the ball on the money for receivers. The physical transformation has allowed his mechanics and consistency to improve a ton, and you really see it in the accuracy and velocity. He does a great job of generating torque, rotating through and finishing towards his receiver, which allows him to drive the ball with confidence. He is plenty comfortable operating outside of the pocket and maintaining eyes downfield before delivering strikes on the move.
