Based on his performance at the QualityQBs workout this week, Eli should be ranked higher than he is right now.

First, Eli’s highlights are solid. He was able to put up a high volume of passes this season, and he was able to showcase accurate throws to all areas of the field. I saw it in person, and I see it on tape: Eli is capable of making just about any throw. Plus, he does so with a decent understanding of velocity and touch depending on throw location.

Eli’s next big jump will come from better timing and more consistent in-game mechanics. He’ll get there. I’m very interested in seeing what Eli does moving forward.

I hate to even start talking about the offseason for Eli as his team is still charging on in the playoffs! I first got to see Eli work last December when he worked out with Joe Boisture. That work and training has paid off in a big way as Eli is now putting together a tremendous season. He has great vision and comprehends what the defense is doing quickly, and is able to react and make the play. He really thrives at being able to lead his receiver and place the ball where only his guy can get it. A few throws on his highlight tape were extremely high-level throws that he made look easy. If he continues on this trajectory, he will be impossible to ignore despite going to a smaller school than a lot of our top prospects.

I got the chance to see Eli work out in the winter and came away incredibly impressed. Even as one of the youngest kids in attendance, Eli consistently moved and threw the ball far beyond his years. The training he is getting is top notch, and it’s showing early. He is incredibly accurate, even on off platform situations. As Eli continues to mature both physically and mentally, he will likely become one of those small school gems that we see so often in this state. I am really confident in his trajectory and love where his abilities are at so far. Huge stock riser in my eyes so far this offseason.

One of two younger prospects at the workout, and they both did a very good job. Like the others, Eli was flat-out accurate. I’ll get this out of the way, but I thought Eli was a little stiff with his mechanics and doesn’t drive the ball as well as others. Though most prospects with those issues are also inaccurate. Eli was the opposite. He hit his spots consistently and just needs some more time to develop physically.

Too early for me to project Eli’s college value. Accurate, young QB who is ahead of the curve when it comes to incoming sophomores. Impressed by the Montrose QB- can’t wait to see his sophomore success.

While there isn’t much film on Eli yet, I got to see him work last month at a QB training session and I came away feeling really good about his development. His arm strength is coming around, and his accuracy was impressive. His technique, footwork and throwing motion are extremely advanced for a freshman. I am excited to see how he translates all of his training and work onto the field next fall!
