He stays level-headed, doesn't get rattled, and treats every snap like it's its own play. I like that he doesn't panic after giving up a catch or try to force something that isn't there. He can come up and tackle, isn't afraid to help in the run game, and does a nice job finishing in space. He put up 50 tackles, 7 PBUs, 2 interceptions, 3 tfls, and 1 forced fumble in year 3. He lets plays develop, trusts what he sees, and reacts instead of guessing. His footwork is clean, he backpedals well, and he stays under control throughout the rep. He put together a big junior year with 56 tackles, 6 PBUs, and 2 forced fumbles. He closes on the football in a hurry and comes flying downhill when he sees an opportunity to make a play. He's capable of delivering some big hits and does a nice job attacking the football to force fumbles instead of just settling for the tackle. The speed also helps him avoid getting beat over the top, allowing him to erase mistakes and stay in position. He put up 54 tackles, 7 PBUs, 2 interceptions, and 2 forced fumbles in year 3. Offensively, he can line up on the outside and make plays down the field, showing the ability to stretch a defense. I like his vision and instincts even more on defense. He has fantastic range, glides sideline to sideline with ease, and covers a lot of ground without looking like he's overworking. He tracks the football well in the air and has the ball skills to come away with interceptions when the opportunity is there.
