This year's event was hosted by Piscataway High School and was, in my experience, their best yet. As presumed four-year starter [player_tooltip player_id='1196461' first='Landon' last='Pernell'] prepares to enter his senior season, his understudy, [player_tooltip player_id='1371555' first='Jayden' last='Schmalz'], a rising sophomore, looks to keep the high level of play going into the future. Paired up with a tight end, I watched small read and connect on a back shoulder stop route based on how the defensive was playing. This was especially impressive given that it was with a tight end in a camp setting. I also thought that Schmalz delivered on outstanding ball placement; however, due to this being a camp setting the timing with his paired receiver was off. I do, however, want Schmalz to continue to read defenses and take what is given to him. Blaize had very good ball placement when throwing slants into tight window; however, during indy I thought the mechanics of the ball leaving his hand needed to be cleaned up. During this segment of the camp, Blaize threw a wobbly , erratic ball. The Staten Islander has a nice 3/4 slot angle release with outstanding anticipation as to where his intended target <em>should</em> be. However, when throwing wheels and verticals Tricomi would benefit from placing the ball more toward the sideline and away from approaching the numbers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One quarterback that I noted (jersey number 113), was not listed on the roster. Fortunate for this anonymous prospect that this was the case, because I witnessed him throw a total boomerang of a ball. Rather than a spiral, the ball rotated point-to-point, horizontally.
