Western Michigan 7v7 Shootout Standout Performers Pt. 2

We saw it all, interceptions, great dimes, one handed catches and underdogs that won the championship! Through it all one group of prospects really showed up and showed out! It was good to lay my eyes on him again for the first time this summer as I have already seen some major improvements to his game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Great size and build: At 6'3 190 pounds Evan looks like a physical specimen ready for the next level, he doesn't just look the part as he uses his height and weight to his advantage. He is a real jump ball threat anywhere on the field against anybody! I was very tuned in to Caledonia football last season, so I have seen Logan in action before. I left thoroughly impressed by the class of 2027 prospect.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Great Overall DB Technique: Outlaw can play a receiver straight up or with his butt to the sideline, has a tight back pedal and shuffle with no wasted movement at all, good quickness and awareness as I saw him read qb's eyes stick his foot in the ground and drive on interceptions multiple times throughout the day.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Can play multiple coverages: Didn't get caught outside of his zone all day, passed off underneath routes to teammates and matched receivers that ran into his zone, can open up hips and run with pass catchers, did a great job of staying in hip pocket and squeezing receivers to the sideline when need be.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bryce Outlaw had very sticky coverage all day. There were times where it seemed like he could shut down a whole quarter of the football field. I was not familiar with Teddy's game before this 7v7 tournament. I left with another great athlete on my radar.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Game manager: Did a great job of taking what the defense gave him whether it was multiple 5 yard underneath routes or a shot down the sideline, he showcased good decision-making abilities by not playing outside of his own abilities and offensive scheme and turning the ball over</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>-Potential playmaking abilities: Teddy has a visibly strong build I think that lends to him having some real good zip on his passes, I saw the ability to make a layered throw when need be, he was also able to hit multiple different windows</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Teddy to me seemed to be a very good leader. He was vocal in and out of the huddle and had nothing but encouraging words towards his teammates.
