Under Armour Next-Up Baltimore Camp defensive line evals Pt. 1

<p>There was a lot of talent in attendance during the invite-only Under Armour Next-Up Camp in Baltimore. I was able to evaluate a good number of lineman during the camp. I'll be separating the evaluations into two categories: offensive and defensive linemen.</p>   <p>Here is Part 1. </p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Sanogo had to be one of the more intriguing prospects at the UA Baltimore camp. He's 6-7 and 240 pounds and hails from Connecticut. Georgia State and Missouri State are his current offers. I find it hard to believe he won't pick up several more over the next few months. I thought he had a strong get-off and was explosive for a guy his size. Hand usage was functional. Not bad bend for someone his height. I like his strength; he was able to overpower a few times at the point of attack. Solid athleticism; doesn't lumber at all. I like his inside rush ability and the power he shows to finish. He has over 35-plus offers at the moment. His pass-rush toolbox is impressive. He wins with spins, up-and-under moves, and outside speed. He's an athletic edge rusher and is quick off the ball. He won most of the reps that I saw him compete in. Has great speed around the edge and is physical at the point of attack. Very agile. He already has offers from Syracuse and Temple. He used his speed, a nice punch, and good hand usage to win the reps I watched. Watson gave offensive lineman problems, using his quickness to beat them around the edge. He was consistent throughout the day in his effort and has good motor skills. His get-off and explosiveness stand out. He's also 6-7 and plays in the interior. Tall and disruptive, I thought his quickness off the ball stood out for a player his size. He was able to display his strength during a few reps as well. Van Norden is s raw with a high ceiling. His length and extension were hard to contend with.
