Expert Analysis

Swann is one of the top players in the entire nation. He has over 35-plus offers at the moment. His pass-rush toolbox is impressive. He wins with spins, up-and-under moves, and outside speed. He’s an athletic edge rusher and is quick off the ball. He won most of the reps that I saw him compete in. Has great speed around the edge and is physical at the point of attack. Very agile. Once he gets a step on the OL, it’s over.

Tyzon is a player I saw as a freshman and certainly caught my eye. Since then he has started to fill out his long frame nicely and balled out this past season. With 135 total tkls, 5o TFLs, 16 sacks, and 8 FFs he was lights out for Lackey as he helped propel them to a strong playoff run leading to the State Finals. That lead to him making a strong jump up four spots to the #3 overall spot.
What I like about Tyzon’s game the most is how fast and violent he plays. An explosive first step of the snap, he gets into the backfield before the play even develops. He’s a disruptor and a menace on the field with plays on his highlight tape that remind me of Jadeveon Clonwey vs Michigan. Able to currently play anywhere along the DL, he makes plays from the edge and interior. He is a threat to make the play anywhere he lines up and was virtually unstoppable this fall. Tyzon also plays with a great motor, athletic enough to chase down plays from behind and can eat up grass with his stride/length. Tyzon also plays with nice leverage, able to stack & shed and hold the edge. He is fluid with good hips and impressive re-direct ability. Tyzon has all the size and athleticism to be the total package going forward.
He is also a big time recruit already with over 20+ P4 offers from the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Miami, LSU, etc. Tyzon made great strides this year and is easily in contention for the #1 spot going forward. I feel if he can continue to be as explosive as he is now at 260-270lbs with more strength he could challenge for one of the top players in the country. That is what these colleges are banking on as he continues to develop his game and garner more interest in the upcoming years.

I’m going take an educated guess and say that Swann is one most likely to rise during the rankings update. His currently list of 20-plus offers includes Alabama, Florida, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Texas A&M, and Ohio State.

Lackey pulled off the big upset over Calvert HS this past weekend behind a strong defensive performance led by Tyzon. One of the top players in the state in his class, Swann proved that in this past weeks game. He made plenty of stops and involved in many key plays. He helped force a fumble on a muffed punt that was recovered for a score. Later in the game Tyzon made an outstanding play coming up with a sack strip FF and then had the FR as well, putting Lackey at the Calvert 2yd line and in position for a score. Swann also added a big grab on offense from the TE spot to help keep the drive moving. If Lackey is to continue their strong playoff run, expect Tyzon to keep up his impactful play spear heading a shut down defense.

Tyzon had a strong jump in rankings from the fall, moving into the top 10 and #2 overall DL. Saw him very early on in the fall and he went on to put together an impressive freshman season for Lackey.
Has all the measurables of Power 4 prospect already, Tyzon stands 6’4″+ and 235lbs with good length and lean frame. A high quality overall athlete being an all conference basketball player as well. Showing nice burst off the snap, getting into the backfield rapidly and consistently to make the play. He’s got good bend and footwork, runs on his toes and has a high active motor.
It is no surprise Tyzon already holds six total Power offers as he looks every bit the part on the field. The size, build, length an athleticism are the building blocks that can allow Tyzon to become a national recruit as he develops.
