It's not very often that a prospect goes from being unranked to a top ten guy in the class. But it has happened and it's happened again here with Piedmont wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1828021' first='King' last='Underwood'] debuting as a top ten overall prospect and new #1 WR prospect in the '28 class. Underwood spent his sophomore season at Cashion and when we caught them in person last fall, he had a good showing and looked like an athlete to keep an eye on moving forward. He's also a very strong athlete, emerging as a really solid basketball prospect. Underwood made the move to Piedmont this offseason and camped at Tennessee earlier this offseason, earning an offer from the Vols and that could be the first of many in the next twelve months.

Yukon quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1717719' first='Zealand' last='Danielson'] is another newcomer to the 2028 rankings on PRZ-Oklahoma and he debuts knocking on the door of the top ten. But unlike Underwood, Danielson didn't play in Oklahoma last year so he is a true newcomer to our 2028 prospect coverage. Danielson moved into the state this offseason from California and brings with him a solid reputation as a 2028 signal caller. Being new to Oklahoma, the sample size is limited but he's already on the radar of college coaches and our PRZ-California writers had a high opinion of him. Things are looking good at Yukon as they try to take the next step in 2026. Having a new quarterback that can slice and dice defenses will make them a fun team to watch.

It feels like Broken Arrow has an embarrassment of riches in the secondary with dudes who already have D1 offers and will have to fight and claw for playing time this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='2234526' first='AJ' last='McMahon'] is another example of that. He's one of several Broken Arrow underclassmen that have blown up this offseason. When spring ball began in May, there were a handful of Broken Arrow prospects that got on our radar after earning their first offers. McMahon is one of those guys and it will be interesting to see what his role ends up being for the Tigers this season. But he's another long athlete that can impact the game on either side of the ball. We have McMahon listed and rated here as a defensive back but there's plenty of versatility there.

The last time we saw Jones defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1703876' first='Derek' last='Templeton'] on the football field, he was celebrating a state championship after coming up with an interception in the end zone to secure the win as time ran out. That was the end of Templeton's sophomore season, in which he emerged as one of the better defensive backs in Class 2A-1. Between his size and overall athletic ability, Templeton has also had a very solid offseason, getting on the radars of college coaches that recruit Oklahoma. In the spring, Templeton reported his first offer and that should continue this fall as he will be one part of a very talented secondary for the Longhorns. Templeton will go into this season as one of the state's better cornerbacks.

Right behind one Templeton is another as Jones 2028 cornerback (and twin brother of Derek) [player_tooltip player_id='1837268' first='Kade' last='Templeton'] debuts as a top 25 overall prospect in the 2028 rankings. And full disclosure, the Templetons ARE twin brothers so when ranking both, they had to be side by side right? Similar to his brother, Kade enjoyed a really strong sophomore season, emerging as a cornerback that teams have to know where he is at all times. The thing we like the most about his game is the physical nature he plays with week in and week out. And just like his brother, it's been a fun offseason for Kade as he's earned his first offers and his recruitment is starting to take off. These two create a nasty 1-2 punch at the cornerback position.

Shawnee wide receiver and defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='1829599' first='Brendan' last='Johnson'] got on our radar after being one of the top two way players that we watched in our second 7v7 tournament back in April. Johnson then impressed us once again in May, during their team camp. Every time we've watched Johnson in person, he finds a way to make multiple big plays and he does it on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he's a game changer at the wide receiver position. He's a deep threat and he's incredibly difficult to cover. Defensively, he's shown the ability to be a lockdown corner and he's done so against some really good competition. So Johnson is debuting as the prototypical "athlete" where he could be a variety of things at the next level.

Deer Creek defensive back [player_tooltip player_id='2136358' first='Raiden' last='Woodson'] is another 2028 prospect that got on our radar this offseason after a dominant performance at one of our events. Woodson ended up taking home MVP honors for the defensive back group at our May showcase camp. Woodson has the potential to be a breakout star for the Antlers this season. Woodson could see some playing time on offense but there is no doubt that he has some star potential on the defensive side of the ball. Woodson had a very successful track season this spring and then he carried that momentum into camp season. Woodson dominated our showcase event in May and then has done a good job on the college camp circuit at DB.

Sulphur 2028 athlete [player_tooltip player_id='2234527' first='Carter' last='Cole'] is a hidden gem in the state's 2028 class but we don't think that is going to last much longer. The Bulldogs need some new playmakers to emerge on the offensive side of the ball and we're looking at Cole being one of those playmakers. Cole will also be a major piece to what the Bulldogs do on the defensive side of the ball. And when we look at Cole going into this season, we wouldn't be surprised if he has a major chip on his shoulder. He got hurt late in the year last season and wasn't able to play in the state championship game as the Bulldogs had to finish as 3A Runner Ups for a second year in a row. Cole (and the rest of the Bulldogs) will be hungry for gold when the 2026 season kicks off.

All signs are pointing to a major breakout season for Owasso 2028 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1828534' first='Braelon' last='Keys'] this season. First off, Owasso needs some new guys to emerge at the wide receiver position this season. Keys has all the momentum in the world after a very successful offseason. He performed well at several 7v7 tournaments and then carried strong play into our showcase camp in May. At that point, we had seen Keys perform really well, time and time again. So Keys was firmly on our radar at that point but he wasn't finished. At Owasso's spring scrimmage, Keys was one of the top offensive weapons for the Rams and scored a couple touchdowns. We're looking forward to see how he carries this momentum to the fall.

Tuttle offensive lineman [player_tooltip player_id='2191452' first='Blake' last='Schneberger'] is another prospect in the 2028 class that had a really strong showing at our May showcase event and it was clear he would be in this ranking update after that. Schneberger cracked the lineup for Tuttle last season as they made their run to the state championship. This season, it's expected that more will be on Schneberger's shoulders as he looks to help pave the way for an offense that has to break in some new pieces in the backfield. Schneberger had a good showing at our showcase event in May but we were even more impressed when we put on the film from last season. With the pads on, Schneberger is an absolute mauler on the line of scrimmage for the reigning champs.
