Carl Albert athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1830047' first='Wyatt' last='Cordray'] is the top rated athlete in this ranking update and checks in at #5 overall in the state's 2029 class. Cordray saw plenty of playing time for the 5A champs last season and towards the end of the season, he absolutely earned his way onto the field and wouldn't be denied with the way he was playing. Offensively, he's a physical tight end that has a high upside and could end up having a breakout season this fall on that side of the ball. Defensively, he brings that same physical style and is a hard hitter on a team full of those kind of guys. Cordray has also had a very busy offseason. He's a solid baseball player as well and recently picked up an offer from Oklahoma after camping with the Sooners earlier this month.

Choctaw standout [player_tooltip player_id='2124464' first='Akoree' last='Walker'] was a player that was knocking on the door of the top ten during our first ranking update earlier this year. We only had some limited film to work off of and the opinions of some of his coaches. But we got a chance to watch him in person this spring and he immediately passes the eye test and it was pretty obvious that he belonged in the top ten and the ceiling for him is just as high as we thought it could be earlier this year. Walker is listed right now as an athlete and the natural spot for him moving forward could be as a defensive back. When we watched him in May, he was dominant at the cornerback position. He's long, athletic and has a natural ability. But don't count out the playmaking ability on offense or special teams.

Stillwater wide receiver and cornerback [player_tooltip player_id='1833738' first='Cyrus' last='Johnson'] is a 2029 prospect that has the potential to be one of the more consistent prospects from start to finish in this class. Johnson got meaningful playing time last season as a freshman and he seemed to play some of his best football against some of the top competition. It also seemed like Johnson's best was on the defensive side of the ball more times than not. But when the Pioneers take the field this season, don't be surprised to see Johnson spending time on both sides of the ball. But when it comes down to it, the majority of his playing time might be on defense and we might rate Johnson as a DB moving forward. There is a lot to like about his game at the cornerback position after a strong freshman season.

Enid standout [player_tooltip player_id='2205200' first='Keith' last='Morris Iii'] might be one of the best kept secrets in Oklahoma right now but that isn't going to last much longer. Morris is near the top of the list in terms of 2029 prospects that are raising their stock this month. Morris has been camping at various schools and the recruitment of his talents has definitely started to pick up. Morris might end up leaning to the offensive side of the ball but there is no doubt that he's a terrific athlete and could play on either side of the ball. He's a long athlete that has plenty of speed and overall burst to go along with his length. And based on his wingspan, it wouldn't surprise us if he adds an inch or two in the height department. Morris is definitely a name to keep an eye on this fall.

We were able to see quite a few schools during the last weeks of May and into June with our team camp tour. Edmond North's [player_tooltip player_id='1921619' first='Parker' last='McMahan'] was one of our absolute favorite players to watch as they performed very well at Union. It didn't matter if McMahan was on offense or defense, he played like an absolute animal and brought the juice on every snap. It didn't feel like a team camp session in late May with him on the field. He brought an energy that was rarely matched and we are fired up to see how he looks when the lights come on for real this fall. Offensively, he's the ultimate security blanket at the tight end position. Then he turns around on defense and terrorizes opposing offensive linemen with his pass rush moves off the edge.

Vian running back and defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1829231' first='Amos' last='Wright'] appears to be ready to step into the spotlight this season. The Wolverines have to replace one of the state's more productive running backs in Masyn Wright and Amos looks to be the guy for the next three seasons. He saw playing time last season as a defensive end during his freshman season. It was apparent then that there was a lot of athleticism to his game and he also had some pretty decent size. When we caught Vian in person last month, Wright immediately looked the part at the running back position. The Wolverines have a lot of firepower and athleticism on offense but Wright is going to have the chance to have a breakout season this fall. And let's face it, it wouldn't be Vian football without at least one Wright.

We currently have Poteau's [player_tooltip player_id='1261479' first='Evan' last='Adams'] listed as an athlete and rated as an athlete but this might be the last time we have that. He'll play both sides of the ball for the Pirates but based on everything we've seen on him on film and in person at various 7v7 tournaments or camps, this kid is a wide receiver. That's how we first started to notice Adams was his consistent ability to catch everything in sight at the receiver position. As he's gotten bigger, faster and stronger, he has become more of a match-up nightmare for opponents trying to slow him down. Poteau has a few underclassmen to keep an eye on moving forward. Adams earned his way on the field as a freshman and it looks like he's just scratching the surface on what he'll be.

Out in eastern Oklahoma, look out for Stilwell [player_tooltip player_id='1828800' first='Mikey' last='Sawney'] because he's going to play just about any position that Stilwell needs him to play over the next three seasons. We got a chance to check out his film from last season and he's a prospect that plays much bigger than his size and he will absolutely drop the hammer on an opponent. He's not afraid to hit and he moves incredibly well from sideline to sideline. Sawney is going to be another versatile weapon that can help out his team on offense, defense and in special teams. He's the perfect example for the "athlete" position tag because at this point, we have no idea what specific position we like him the most. But there is no doubt that he has a lot of potential moving forward.

Anytime we do a ranking update, there are a handful of guys that we immediately think we got too low. Beggs athlete [player_tooltip player_id='1268717' first='Sterling' last='Jordan'] is one of those guys in this 2029 class. Jordan is just outside of the Top 40 and it wouldn't surprise us if we have him closer to the Top 25 in our next update this fall. Jordan had a terrific freshman season and is another example of a prospect that is just scratching the surface on what he can be as a prospect. He's impressed us in person in the past, standing out as one of the top middle schoolers at one of our PRZ-Next camps. So we are definitely familiar with his game and we think this season could not only be big for Jordan but it could be a big one for Beggs. If so, Jordan's stock would definitely go up this fall.

Jones speedster [player_tooltip player_id='1608672' first='Dash' last='Agustin-Gaines'] is another 2029 prospect that we first got eyes on when he was still in middle school. He's moved over to Jones this offseason and looks to be another piece to a Jones offense that is incredibly explosive. It should also be mentioned that he has the perfect first name because speed is one of the top qualities he has in his overall game. It's been a successful offseason for Agustin-Gaines on the 7v7 circuit and he's fit in very nicely with his new squad. We'll get a look at him in green very early in the season as the Longhorns are going to test themselves against a tough non-district schedule. We're looking forward to seeing him this season and what kind of instant impact he can have on the Longhorns this fall.
