Now let's get started with our first five candidates!    Joshua shows good instincts in playing a hybrid outside linebacker/strong safety role on defense in his freshman year. Joshua doesn't hesitate, and he trusts his eyes on his reads. When he reacts, he takes good pursuit angles to get to the ball carrier and tackles well at the point of impact. You don't see many freshmen make an impact on varsity typically, and he's had a good offseason so far as a result of that, picking up offers from Virginia Tech and Campbell. I'm also impressed by the work he's doing in the weight room. He's going to be a real good one for the Cougars.     Noah was an All-Conference player last season for the Cardinals, and the tape shows why pretty quickly. Equipped with good size, Noah plays disciplined in zone coverage concepts from his safety position, leading to pass breakups and interceptions. Noah does a really good job in coming out of his breaks and exploding to the football to make tackles in space. I think he's a little under the radar for where he plays, but he can be a steal if the right school recognizes his talents.     A 2-time All-County Running Back and reigning offensive player of the year, I was excited to dig into this film. I really like the speed and power combination I see with the football in Rosean's hands. In the first two clips, he easily goes the distance for long touchdown runs. Good vision, and he has a nice burst once he gets into the open field. Rosean does a good job of breaking weak tackle attempts in space as well. Rosean is also a threat in the return game on special teams as well. This is a primary run offense he's in, so I would love to see what he looks like in space in the passing game, but he's a strong running back for sure.     I've heard a lot of good things about this young man, so I was eager to see what he put on tape. First play is a nice interception where he didn't panic in solo coverage on a deep pass. Quasiir also shows some good ability to tackle in the open field, something really impressive for a freshman. I really like his patience in coverage; he simply doesn't light up on anything and lets the ball come to him. He's got really quick feet and very good agility, which means I think he can excel in either a zone or man scheme with no problem. He recently picked up a Division 1 offer from Tulsa, so I think this is just the beginning for him.     I saw Donnovan at the CFI Carolinas MEGA Showcase in May, but I wanted to dig into him a little more with the film here. I like his quickness off the ball at the snap, and his athleticism allows him to chase plays outside the box with ease. Donnovan excels on some stunts, using his hands well to disengage and get to the quarterback in pass-rushing situations. The effort is consistent, and there are a few plays where he chases down ball carriers 10 plus yards downfield. With his size and physical ability, college football programs will show some legit interest. Donnovan recently picked up an offer from Charleston, so he's on his way to a big senior year.
