The Prep Redzone WI camp coverage circuit continued with the Whitewater Mega Camp, an event scheduled for a padded OL/DL session followed by the skills session. Unfortunately, the uncooperative weather forced the Warhawks coaching staff to cancel session II. So the event was essentially turned into a Big Man Camp. That was more than enough for myself and the coaching staffs in attendance because it was a special group of linemen. WI was heavily represented, and a few out of staters made splashes. In the end the event was a fantastic chance to get a first look at several OL and DL who we have watched on tape, but never live. Those impressions are our focus today as we begin recap coverage of the Whitewater Mega Camp.

As you can see from the ranking, we are a big fan of the tape that Jesse has published from the 2025 season. So it was great to get my first live look at him down in Whitewater. The '27 out of Logan passes the eye test with flying colors. He has a massive 6'3" 310 lbs frame that is carrying a lot of good weight. The towering OL is built to set the tone with physicality and that is what he did down in Whitewater. Everything about his game shows off his power. He has a huge lower body and always maintained a wide base in 1 on 1 battles. He could quick set and easily absorb bull rush from the talented DL. Jesse plays with those powerful, heavyweight boxer type of hands that punched strong and also locked on and never let go during reps. It was also very important to see that the big man could still move his feet to be able to mirror pass rushers. The big man looked at his best on the interior. He holds an offer from Winona State, so far. More coaches need to get eyes on his tape.

One of the biggest winners of the day when the 1v1s started was Catholic Memorial IOL Max Erchull. The 6' 285 lbs soon-to-be senior put on a show in board drills. Max has developed the much needed ability to come out of his stance and play the entire rep low to the ground. That leverage perfectly paired up with a dominant leg drive. A leg drive that won Max board drill battles rep after rep after rep. Max violently went on the attack in those battles and was able to so quickly get DL off balance and pound those big feet until the whistle blew and the DL was 5+ yards off the start line. Max left no doubt that he can hang in the trenches at the next level. Don't sleep on the talented IOL 2027. Him and his teammates should be set up to play a lot of football this fall as they return several key contributors.

Reggie was one of the top performers of the entire event. He crushed the combine, showing flexibility, burst, and agility through the L-Drill and looking like a natural and smooth athlete running the 40. Reggie actually took OL and DL reps during the camp. On the OL he flashed more of that superior athleticism as he showed he could quickly attack level two and arrive with power when he gets there. In his DL reps Reggie was very effective utilizing quick hands and well trained hand fighting moves to shed OL and get around them. Brent's get off was a key piece of his success too. It was very noteworthy to see him winning with athleticism vs some of the twitchier OL. This is definitely a 2027 WI athlete who has put himself on our radar and should be there for several coaching staffs too. Check him out.

I love these camps because I get to either find completely new talent to the PRZ radar or we get our first look. Gerrit fits the category of new talent. The Cambria- Friesland DL had my attention right away while we were working through the combine. Gerrit impressed in the L-Drill with his athletic explosiveness and fluidity through all the changes of direction. On the field Gerrit is a raw talent. He goes all out every rep and flashed some power to be able to create a push, but if he can finely tune the hand fighting technique and bring that to the field then he is going to be even more of an impact.

What a day it was for Leo! In my mind he was the no brainer MVP of the DL group. At 6' 250 lbs, Leo was a monster in the trenches. That frame is packed to the gills with violence, power, and quick twitch athleticism. In board drill Leo not only won with his superior power, but he maximized it by playing with hands inside and constantly working to keep them in position where he could maintain separation. Then 1v1s came around and Leo only turned it up more. The '27 springs out of his stance and always seemed to have a plan and a counter move ready. He won reps with a violent punch to get the OL off balance and then shot through the gap. He won reps by violently clearing the hands of OL and showing he could bend. It was a fantastic display of talent and a high IQ for his position and how to use his talents. This is a serious sleeper coming out of IL.

Another year, another Mukwonago lineman making noise in the offseason with his college worthy talent. This time around it was Alex Schuler, an OG for the Indians. The 2027 OG caught my attention several times during the padded drill work. He jumped out from the crowd with his ability to pull and skip pull quickly and then get downhill like he was shot out of a cannon. The big man will need to continue to bulk up to handle the trenches and have the power to set the tone. But I like where he is at with his size, athleticism, technique, and varsity experience. Don't sleep on him.

Illinois came to play at the Whitewater Mega Camp! Another standout from the Land of Lincoln was Brayden Niemeyer of Lincoln Way West. Brayden is a very intriguing prospect. He has the size you look for at 6'3" 270 lbs. A great frame to continue to build on over the years, but he separates himself from the crowd by not just having the size, but by having the athleticism necessary to play on the interior. During pulling drills Brayden made it look easy. He gets out of his stance in a hurry, but is always under control and he brings the agility to be able to pull around or skip pull and attack downhill through gaps. To have this size and also have his level of athleticism is making the Lincoln Way West OL a steal. Get to this kid's tape.

I came away a big fan of Jacari following his Whitewater performance. The 5'11" 295 lbs 2027 is a strong and stocky IOL. It was a surprise to see that my first several notes on him were actually highlighting his feet. The big man plays on some very quick and nimble feet. In drills and 1v1s Jacari was able to show that he has explosive side to side mobility and he showed in the zone run game battles that he can not only run laterally but also maintain the power he plays with while doing so. 1v1 pass pro reps to end the day also were major highlights for Jacari. That is where we got a great look at how stout he can be with his anchor. Also while providing that secure interior pocket we still saw the quick and nimble feet that allowed him to effectively mirror IDL. It was a great showing for an OL who should be a target of the entire WIAC.

Nolan Losey of Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln is an impressive specimen. The 6'4" 270 lbs 2028 had one of, if not the best, frame among the entire group of OL and DL. He has the height, weight, and length and while he is soundly and thickly built we don't see a ton of excess weight on him. The exciting part is that Nolan is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential. He has a good base of strength to build on. It was also clear that Nolan was just starting to truly grow into his frame and have full comfort and control while moving within the trenches. As that athleticism matches the frame we could see Nolan absolutely skyrocket his stock by the time next summer rolls around.

Another 2028 OL who is going to be rising during our next update is Sauk Prairie OL Jordan Eilertson. The 2028 is another athlete who passed the eye test and I labeled as a Top 10 frame in attendance. Alongside looking the part, Jordan played the part better than I have ever seen him play on tape. That tells me he is definitely putting in the work this offseason. The long, lean athlete did a great job playing with strong hands and used accurate hand punches to control his man. It was also great to see him trust his feet more and more to keep him in position to stuff DL. Plus the strength was there to keep him toe to toe with any of the top DL in attendance. I'm very excited for what the future of Jordan holds.

Channing has unreal size at 6'4" 330 lbs. Especially of ra 2028. The IDL has the frame to eat up two gaps and control the line of scrimmage. We didn't get to see it in action at the camp, but we did see him just his size and raw strength to bull rush IOL back to the QB. The 2028 was moved up to play against the seniors because he was too dominant for his age group. Channing is so raw at this point, but the size and strength are there and we did see that he has some burst to his game when he was changing direction. This is a big man well worth getting on your radars early on.

He has length and room to continue to head towards 280+. The more I watched Alex the more I was blown away by his power. In board drills the big fella was getting underneath DL, flexing his powerful base, and driving his opponent backwards for plenty of wins in the drill. Alex does a great job running his feet through contact to help create that push. Alex also showed off heavy hands and a great display of hand placement so that he always was in control of his man. It was a great day for the 2028 that should be on a lot of radars from here until he commits.
