Who is Flying Up Recruiting Boards Right Now?

The class of 2027 is being recruited hard as they enter their senior year, and there are a few that are really starting to gain traction. Let's check out a few that have solidified their spot as a true prospect at the next level.    Offers from Davenport to Saginaw Valley to Northwood and beyond, Ryan is becoming one of the hotter prospects in the trenches. He's a nasty DT with great footwork, good mobility and a knack for being aggressive. He understands how to use his hands as a tool, and is able to stay free the whole way, allowing him to create havoc in the backfield. I love his first step and non-stop motor. The Belleville DL has had a number of dominant guys on their line, and it's looking like Ryan is the next one up.     Luke is one of the most impressive players I got to see last season. He has continued to evolve over the last few years and has put himself on the map as a 2-way star. Defensively is where I see the highest upside for Luke, and I think the recent offers would agree. Phenomenal first step, great hand placement and a plethora of tools to work with. Swim, spin, rip. You name it, Brodnicki has it in his back pocket. He has continued to build his body up, and is now at a great height and weight to be an absolutely dominant force. I cannot wait to see where he takes his game this fall.     The D2 attention has been there for Drew, but he's really starting to fire up his recruitment at the D1 level. One quick look and it's easy to see why. Great measurables at 6'4 and over 270, with true skill to match. His footwork is good, he doesn't lean too much or get himself crossed up. He possesses a strong lower half that allows him to anchor down, or drive guys out of the way at the point of attack. Whether it be pass reps or run reps, this dude is versatile enough to be dominant at both. A great offseason so far, leading into an incredibly promising 2026 season.     Ryan is one of the most intriguing prospects heading into the summer. He put together an extremely productive season on both sides of the ball in 2025, but was an absolute standout defensively. He's not afraid of contact, and is extremely aggressive. His best work comes from getting a running start downhill and plugging holes. Taking on blocks at the point of attack and creating havoc in the hole. He moves well side to side as well, playing the outside run as well as between the tackles. The local colleges in the area have started to take notice, and I think Ryan is trending towards more offers before long.     Sawyer was an underrated player last season, but the secret seems to be out on him and his skill. Colleges have taken note of his athletic build, quick first step and clear football IQ. He stands tall in the middle of the North Branch defense, diagnoses plays and absolutely flies to the ball. When he makes contact, it's typically significant, jarring contact. He plays with that hair-on-fire style, and schools have started to take note. Absolutely a guy I would be doing my homework on if I were a program looking for a solid MLB.
